When crafting gear, can you choose which secondary stats it has?

When crafting gear, can you choose which secondary stats it has? For example, I want versatility/mastery with a 50/50 split.

No its random, like everything else in this expansion.

Welcome to the game :slightly_smiling_face: To answer your question. No you cannot choose. It is completely random. It would be nice. Closest we got was in Warlords of Draenor. Hope you enjoy the game and goodluck.

Absolutely. You have absolute control of the secondaries you get.

If what you crafted isn’t what you want, craft another. Repeat until you get what you want. (Or you buy out the entire server’s supply of materials.)

I’m like 99 percent sure if you scrap the item you get all the materials back allowing you to keep rolling until you get the desired stats

my server is completely dead, theres only 4-6 sellers :frowning:

You’ll get the exact amount of breath of bwonsamdi’s back, but not the other materials. It’ll be a steep cost if you’re unlucky and looking for that one roll. And if your server is dead then it’ll cost quite a bit of time to farm.

My experience is that you get back drop-only mats like expulsom or breaths, but it’s an 80-90 percent loss on normal mats.

Unless you’re willing to settle for “meh, good enough,” you’ll probably go bankrupt re-crafting.

they axed reforging around 4 years ago.

Yes but only if you buy it from the AH or I guess you could just keep making them until you got your stat combo.

Did not know that, seems like an oversight to me. The crafted gear is not all that strenuous to make though so I’m kind of indifferent.

Especially leather or mail gear - mats so cheap and easy to get.
