I’m so sick of Blizz never balancing the arena system. I love feral i have since Vanilla and ive seen its ups and downs. But everytime we have our UPs i see rogues complaining that feral is too strong. God forbid we compete with a rogue. Its hard enough to find members to play with in areans because , why play with a feral when you can get some other OP class.
Feral is only really strong if dampening sets in. Which when playing with a feral is all that happens. You have to run kite and hope you have walls to survive. Ferals can literally get globaled if you dont have trinket or a wall ready. I can go guardian spec with 6% DMG reduction and still get destroyed.
When can feral get reworked or looked at? and I dont want to hear theyre really good in PVE because this isnt a PVE post.
Take a look at your Arena Tourney BLIZZ and see what classes are top…its always the same YEAR AFTER YEAR

well any melee class is better then feral. i can play amazing and just get outclassed by these other classes. a Dh has way too much up time dks are still insane and rogues can kill me in the 2nd vendetta if i dont have a trinket ready. ferals are extremely squishy and can just drop

please show me how many Top ferals are that still play? less then 1.5% statistically from what i see. which is one of the lowest of all specs in arenas. feral might be ok at lower level but ferals get trained at higher ranking. ferals have to play perfect and hope someones cd’s are down to win.

So thats 1 feral theres only a handful of ferals above 2k. i watch his stream and see him rage and yell about the status of ferals. look at every other class and see how we scale with them.
Well there’s your issue right there. You’re listening to someone rage on stream because they are a top competitor but negating the fact that he’s still doing well with the spec and that his opinion on feral is just that, an opinion.
You should never listen to a steamer talk about the viability of a spec and take it as gospel. Plenty of meta gameplay has changed because one person tries a different talent/gear setup and makes it work. Then people see it and follow like sheep to the FOTM
Feral may be behind other specs but does that mean it’s bad? No. It means you need to get better at it.

Ya i get hes a streamer and he’ll have his opinion. But me watching a Top player getting wrecked has nothing to do with his opinion. When you instantly know your the underdog every fight or know its an instant loss is a problem.
and id say im pretty good at feral there not much someone can do to get better when other classes can global or just train a feral or the ferals healer and its gg because they can pump out alot more dmg then a feral. Especially a ret, rets are a 1 shot class they can be kited or cc’d but one HOJ and they can 100-0 someone. thats not skill or talent or a class its just a broken game. feral actually takes set up because we have to rely on dampening. other classes dont
Ret takes quite a bit of setup depending on what talents they are running. You need to have a lot of boxes checked before you just Yolo wings or you will get shut down by competent players.
My 3s team for example on my hunter runs with BM/Fury. Is Fury extremely good right now compared to other specs? Not particularly. Would I want them to buff Fury significantly? No, because it’s still perfectly viable without having DH levels of sustain. If they buffed Fury even though it’s a perfectly balanced spec, Fury would just become another spec that is out of control and everyone would cry. The same thing goes for Feral.
Hitting Hoj doesnt take alot of set up, First HOJ their either going to trinket or pop all defensives so the next HOj is greatly in your favor for killing someone. as soon as trinkets been used its already over. hitting people with 70k verdicts or higher is insane.
and fury was the only spec viable and good in arenas until this last buff happened. a fury can train anyone and destroy them. they have insane burst too and their CD’s are what 1 min? fury will out dmg a feral i guarantee it.
And yes thats why feral is always nerfed into the ground because we get a little but and start doing well and people complain. the problem is, is blizz hasnt touched feral in a feral long time and were still the very bottom of the tier.

Feral doesn’t need a buff because rdruid does insane damage. Rdruid needs a nerf because of it. I’d argue that most dps at the moment could use buffs in order to make the game less rot oriented. Buffing feral, enhance, outlaw, sub, affy, and other under performing specs up to the levels of specs that are doing well.
Obviously it is more complicated than that, but starting out with that would make the meta more exciting and things would die before 80% dampening
I agree with all of that.But Sub, ive seen sub completely global people aswell. i dont think Any class or spec should ever be able to global someone. now if its a double dps team sure but a single class shouldnt have abilities to kill 100-0 to me thats ridiculous. and i know thousands of people agree with that because we’ve seen the decline of arena players. and wow subscribers. thats why people are excited with classic because it was a hell of alot more balanced in pvp
Marks Affi Enhance in a garbage tier of their own tbh. Feral is fine and Assa just makes other rogue specs look bad cuz it’s overtuned, kind of like how Arcane is outshined by other mage specs although they are fine.
