And now that I thought about it for a while I think I’m totally okay with this
Now this means every class doesn’t have to worry about random drop chance and you can just do battlegrounds all day long and you will in pretty good time have full high quality items n weapons
Also the PVP blues are barely less power than the epics so even if you just get the blue set your good for naxx
That sounds pretty nice now that I think about it… because battlegrounds are fun so now everyone gets to have fun battlegrounds and get full good items … and then PVE will just be a fun mini game for people to do to get extra loot on top of that in a social setting
So … I think itll be really fun and I’m looking forward to it

I’m on this team. Since this isn’t rated PVP and is merely a grind like most things in the game - its fine and yeah is an option for gearing which is cool. Hopefully this means the participation will be high so the BGs are always going.
It’s not rated, I suppose, in that there’s no MMR based matchmaking, but it’s rated in the highest level of PVP rewards.
Yeah, if there’s real participation and not an abundance of throwers, then it can be a lot of fun.
I mean not rated as in MMR, as in you didn’t have to progress by beating better and better teams and maintain a W/L ratio to achieve your rank, so it isn’t rated.

Fair enough. I think of BGs in Classic as rated in the sense that you (traditionally at least) did need to maintain your honor ranking, and build it to get gear. But I’m not trying to argue that others should hold that view. Esp. now with the changes to ranking.
It is the highest level of instanced PVP and rewards the best PVP items though, so at least from that point of view, it’s worth putting effort into. It can also just be plain fun, imo, as long as everyone is doing their part, especially as the underdog to turn things around (but that’s probably a cultural thing).
