why is it so hard for blizzard to crack down on botting, i mean look at this, theres literally like 20 mage bots, all following the same pathing, all casting the same spell rotation, obviously botting, but blizzard cant afford game masters who just patrol around and ban them?
They don’t care about banning bots as anything more than a token gesture.

Bots never make demands of the Dev Team and bots do not possess problematic political opinions.
blizzard is aware of that.
-people buy gold to buy dungeon boosts.
-people buy bot so the bot level for them.
-people buy gold for consumes/items
-people buy bot so the bot farm for them
if you are blizzard? why would you ban those people? they are rich customers and they will be the people who buy shop boost and tokens in anniversary tbc 
also the pure bots that farm things 24/7 are paying subs, instantly banning them will drive them away from wow, but giving them a chance to gain money then banning them will make them come again therefore they will keep subbing even with the ban from time to time.
if you think you can play wow without seeing bots or real money traders? that is impossible.

its simple really, the bots pay for subs… why would they do anything that makes them less money. Blizzard is a scummy trash company, thats been a well known fact for 20 years now. Their only claim to success is their digital drug market…IE their horrible addicting games that are in reality garbage.
In all fairness a large chunk of that rot came from Activision.
Hardware banning could be effective vs them but the way they bot isn’t like you may think; they don’t use at home PC in most cases now.
Riot game does that, seems to be quite successful. But I don’t know enough about the game to be certain of it. But we do not see much complain online about that Riot’s game related to botting / cheating.
Microsoft already does that for people who cheat on Xbox Store. So either they embraces the free real estate… or they just don’t care.
If anyone from Blizzard ever read this (Doubt but /tinfoilhat ) Please reconsider the 6 months ban wave, it need to be much more pro active!
They don’t need a PC. Look AMD mini pc. I havnt bought an actual tower in years. You can get a gaming box with windows and decent spec for less then $500.

botters tend to be running virtual machines, which spoof all hardware ID’s
The botters use VM’s on a server cloud like Amazon in whatever local area they’re playing on so that they can appear as they’re local rather than from overseas.
IF its possible (I dont know) to detect hardware of the server cloud (I have never tried that) but if its possible this would be OMEGALOL because it would ban thousands characters at the same time.
I highly doubt there are any real players using for example amazon server cloud to VM their game.
Hardware ban a VM? Bro real ID like China is the only way to beat this.
There are players using it. I can afford to no life at times. I can see it when someone try to play and spam chat versus when their character auto farm at night time. To say any different would be being delusional.
Honestly I’d be on board with that. When I was in South Korean online gaming was more “passive aggressive” but so much more time and cleaner. You just can’t trust people anymore about being “honest”.

Nah the player side probably use a bot that just inject DLL to play the game generally. It’s crazy how Meta Goblin makes youtube video about it and promoting bots preaching it’s for educational purpose and a company as big as Blizzard / Microsoft can’t do anything about or make Warden be relevent.
But banning people who does graphical mods that’s important apparently.
