I am bored with Evoker already and want to roll my other toons, but want to skip all the main quests I already completed because I have zero interest in grinding renown - it’s boring.
You can do that since day one LOL
are you sure about that…
from a practical perspective?
List out exactly how to do this. It’s not obvious in the UX.
When you get the achievement that awards you adventure mode for finishing your first character you can then login and alt and level via world quests or choose whatever zone you want to start in right at the wingrest embassy in waking shores
Googles. Achievement.
It’s really not that hard unless you are making it that way.
Alot rolls over auto unlike SL where you had to go buy a token to get renown up for alts if you didin’t want to grind all 80.
Just go to the island like normal, do the first 3-4 quests and you’ll get the table to skip around. Easy peasy…
For someone asking for help youre not really endearing yourself to others.
You cant skip the quests in the sense that they are marked as completed.
But you dont have to do them on alts if you dont want to. Everything they unlock is account wide.
If you don’t have it that means you never finished the campaign. It’s awarded at the end of the thaldrassuz story line
You can’t skip the starting stuff in Stormwind - at least I haven’t found out how. For SL and BFA you would talk to the NPC and say “I heard this stuff already” and it would send you on. In this one you have to go through all the cut scenes etc again. I know the OP is asking about renown and other main quests, but even just skipping that starting portion would be nice.
Sure you can, just jump on the boat. It’s that easy
I took a level 50 there, had DR with all the talents flew right to the city.
Not sure why you want want to though.
It’s not tedious like the Maw or Tanaan Jungle. Takes like 1 minute to complete both.
But yeah, just get on the boat. This xpac as the best leveling the game has seen since Cata.
Well thanks for letting me know. It would still be nice if they made that more obvious though. I logged into 2 toons last night and having to talk to Wrathion again just made me log out! haha
I think you need to be 58 or 59 to pick up crafting, so it was pointless as far as doing any content at level 50. But I can hang out there while I queue up for chromie time.
My alts have access to the portal to Valdrakken and don’t have to take the ship at all.
When your main completes the campaign (assuming you have done it once) - you will get a big pop up that says adventure mode unlocked.
Then it will be available to all of your alts, but you need to do it at least once.
If you did a lot of side quests while leveling, it is very possible you actually hit 70 prior to fully completing the campaign. Conversely, if you did 0 side quests, you will complete the campaign before you actually hit level cap.
At 60 you will still get the quest that takes you back to SW if you want to start your adventures there properly. Not sure if it’s required for WQ or not I never looked that close.
@OP
It’s possible you didn’t “actually” finish the main story campaign the first time thru (an honest mistake some folks make)
There’s a few additional “chapters” in Thaldraszus, and when you finish them you suddenly get the Adventure Mode achieve/unlock
Only takes a little over an hour to knock out the Thaldraszus mini-campaign, I would just knock it out if you haven’t done it yet
