This is a skill issue, unironically. You can get CE every tier as far back as like… Uldir, so honestly you gotta get out of that wet toilet paper mental.
Only major visible disparities are key levels at the absolute highest level of play, and I have sincere doubts that the majority of people ITT are playing anywhere near that ceiling. Does it have less utility? Yeah. Is it a bit harder to play pick-up or make top 1000 raid comps for CE? Sure, but again - not by some huge margin.
Even then, the difference has historically been like… ~2-5 key levels.
People were howling in agony that Protection Warriors were useless for so long even when they were literally part of a WF comp (sure it was just for BShout to feed the WW meatgrinder), so at this point it’s just people whining to compensate for their poor play.

why because they have the worst mitigation tank in the game on top of that u have to give up hit and expertise to not be super squishy which is one of the strength of the warrior is doing dmg on top of that in the current patch mastery was nerfed which also affect prot paladin and warriors and our last stand is link to rallying cry for some reason which make no dam sense

Prot Warrior is many things. Tank with the worst mitigation is definitely NOT on that list of things.
… If you’re talking about Cataclysm Classic, that’s an entirely different game from what this forum is (typically) for. Might wanna go to the Cata Classic forums for that.

2 points in second last row give you 10% stamina, while you can get 20% in top 3 rows as the other class, im not gonna say the name, everyone knows it
I have a 609 Prot warrior at 2130 io and I am super tanky compared to my main which is a blood dk. 100% shield uptime with high haste and spell block is insane. Not to mention your health is not spikey at all. I’ve seen prot warriors build many different ways but haste/mastery then going into verse has made my warrior super tanky. I’ve even timed 9’s with my low gear ilvl.

I confess that many years ago when I was an ignorant child (at the ripe old age of 20) I fell into this trap myself. I’d repeat what I read on the forums about destro-shadow warlocks ripping it up in the Sunwell and leaving fire mages behind, making us useless, “the only mages who come to Sunwell are the alts of locks who are going to make the water first then log” memes.
… Never realizing that meta only applied to the top guilds. While my guild wasn’t even in the Black Temple let alone the Sunwell. And my performance in our own raids was consistently high. I was that guy. The top 1-2 DPS complaining about doing low DPS.
Embarrassing bit of history there.
Most people who worry about meta aren’t playing at a level where it actually matters. If you’re having trouble getting invited to groups, make your own.

Let’s not forget damage. While blood seems to have some decent DPS in some pulls, prot warrior seems to just demolish every pull, even bosses.
They always are at the start and then they start to consistently fall behind.
