Why cant there be a way to trade are excessive Whelpling shadowflames to drake shadowflames? I would gladly take a massive penalty trade to do so, I dont raid and m+ is toxic but like alot of players I still want to work and upgrade my gear, just a thought thanks.

I tried to make the step up to upgrade some crafted gear and it only works on the starter gear, you canāt even add a few ilvl to shadowflame-crafted gear with the bottom two tiers. They are an example of Blizzard wanting to drive people crazy by taking up bag space for no reason

Trading up antithetical to the crest system.
can we get a vendor who will take them for some rep or trade them in for some free lock rocks/ mage water to use out in the world? a 1 hour world buff maybe? something? anything? its a waste of bag space and having to type D E L E A T E adfa ādeleteā multiple times because spelling errorsā¦

To incentivize players to move into more difficult content. To get better gear you need to do higher keys or harder raids.
With the previous system people would just run +2 keys to grind valor. You canāt do that with crests.

Yes thatās a fair argument. But people who want to do that content will still do it, I use to be one. But thatās fair.

Except people would run +2s to grind valor. This lead to characters who were actually geared for +2s would have a hard time getting a spot because over geared player would be signing up to run them. It was an awful problem.
Whyāre you deleting them and not selling them? The fragments canāt be sold but the full crests sell for 5g each.

Because the entire reason for the crest system is to prevent people from perpetually running low end content.

You can sell the completed crests for 5gold each. I have heard they can be used in crafting as well but havenāt looked into that.
Would be cool if we could trade those for renown rep tokens for alts and/or the paragon chests when we max out. Something to cash āem in for. Though I think weāve got a pretty good gearing system this time around.
