Whelpling pets

Will they be available? I started BC and not sure when they came in.

I have so many memories grinding for these pets. I was so sad when Cata changed it to zone drops.

Its relaxes me to grab a skinner and farm those little dragons with some music on. Plus I need all the pets available in classic…I know its not many…but something to look forward to to.

Yeah, whelplings are in. Not many, I think 3 exist or something. And a robot version from engineering.

Yeah. Reds are easiest to get and your best chance to farm for them is in Wetlands. They drop from mid 20s mobs.

Are you talking about the pets like a battle pet or as a hunter pet? Hunters couldn’t tame Dragons/Welps like the ones around Onyxias cave. If you mean battle pets they weren’t introduced yet. As far as just a plain Whelp pet in Vanilla there was Dark Whelp, Tiny Crimson Whelp, and one other. All dropped from lower level Whelp mobs. However, they were an inventory item you had to go into your bag to use.

Yeah, thanks! I was just wondering if they dropped. I remember my bags and bank full of mounts and pets. :joy::joy:

Full of mounts and pets? What was there like 40 mounts total in the game and 10 pets?

I started in BC… so yes, full of fun stuff.

Yeah you only need to kill about 1000 mobs to get one. All the time I played WoW starting with vanilla I never got a pet world drop, RNG has never been my friend.

Crimson, Emerald, and Dark were in Classic.

Azure was added in Burning Crusade and Bronze was added in the WoD prepatch so they won’t be obtainable.

I had farmed two Emeralds and a Crimson in vanilla but never got a Dark myself.
