What's your main "goal"

collect mounts, go back and get flight for legion and wod (make it easier for my alts) and beat the mech dugg

My main goal is to decompress and have an hour or two of fun after work. Nothing more. Nothing less. I find working towards collecting things in the game helps this.

My short term goal is to find a way to enjoy BFA until Classic comes out
My slightly longer term goal is to push to (near) NA top raider on Classic, then possibly similarly in 9.0 if it ends up being a good expansion.

Yeah, at the moment I’m trying to git gud for the future. Fingers crossed 8.3 is alright and 9.0 is good.

You’ll get there in no time if you’re dedicated! I went from thinking that normal raiding was an impossible task to being a realm top mythic raider in half of an expansion. Obviously some people learn faster than others, but I believe in you!

Get flight while banging my head on keyboard because of how boring grind is.

To just play the game and not take it seriously.

It depends on the day.

Right now? Leveling three alts slowly through old content. I wish I had a goal in BfA but 8.2 chased me away from BfA.

my main goal is to wait for classic wow.

Right now I need to complete leveling up all the Allied Races for the achievements, just have Nightborne, Highmountain, and the Dark Iron to finish up. After that I’m going to get even more achievements. Then do all the content i’m missing out on.

Be a better player. Someone who knows their role well, can explain encounters well, plays well with others etc.

More selfishly, I want to understand and experience the lore of BFA better. I haven’t raided beyond Uldir - which was on my blood dk. I want to get into my horde toon’s to experience their story. Seems pivotal to me in the Warcraft narrative.

Excellent point.

This is beautiful. You’re doing Crom’s work.

Crom demands likes.

Or punting the next gnome you see, one of the two.

Now that I’m able to fly, my goals are to go for achievements on my main (this toon) and level up my healer alt, tank alt, and Hordie to see the storyline from the Horde perspective. None of that was fun until flying become available, so it didn’t happen until now.

To have fun playing the game; no more and no less.

So far, that’s going pretty well.

My Goal is to be Anti Social and pretend not knowing English so I wouldn’t have too talk with rude players looking for Tanks.

My goal in WOW for the past 13 years (yeah, I’m one of those) has always been to have FUN.

I know that “FUN” is subjective but what keeps me coming back is when:

  1. Effort = reward (mostly)

  2. The beautiful scenery and awesome artwork, and being able to FLY in that awesome scenery.

  3. Feeling of completion when I get quests and achievements done (Pathfinder is the exception, thats just evil garbage from evil people).

  4. Being able to manage my gameplay - if I want to just peacefully pick flowers or beat down baddies in a dungeon, I get to choose what I “need” for the day.

  5. collecting stuff.

  6. producing things that other players find useful (professions). However, I’m very sad that profession changes in Legion & BfA has ruined that for me :frowning:

  7. I LOVE the puzzle games in WOW and wish there were more.

Slay internet dragons.

Try to get the Infinite Timereaver. At this point, it’s a matter of pride.
