no its not…
I think counting someone that plays 4 hours on their main and 2 hours on an alt being counted twice and someone playing 1 hour on their main and logging off being counted once is fine.
Level 60 census data is pretty much dead on.
lmao SO really i’ve got ocean front property in arizona wana buy?
It’s still better than anything we have otherwise. Not too many people have that many 60s tbh
All your replies are you sticking your hands in your ears and screaming NUH-UH!
Pointless.
doesn’t make it good…
all your replies are BUT THIS SITE FITS MY NARRATIVE SO IT HAS TO BE CLOSE TO ACCURATE
Makes it better than what we usually hear. A lot of the servers are pretty dead on, like the really imbalanced ones (only a few) and the more even ones, like Grob.
Thalnos is currently at 66% Horde to 34% ally. It truly makes wpvp a nightmare for both sides to play on. Horde have been struggling to get new people to fight and ally are screwed anywhere they try to show up as 20 more horde than they have are there instantly. its rough
Stalagg - 72% Horde / 28% Alliance - seems about right.
Kirtonos
37% Alliance
63% Horde
Both websites show a similar result, a Horde dominated server.
You’re probably loving your artificial PvE experience.
Weird caveat to insist on.
Let’s say I want to know the ratio, so I know whether not I’ll get slaughtered.
2 samples are taken. At 5 pm there are 20 Alliance 60’s in the guild “BRD Corpserunners” and 40 Horde in the guild “Nolife Grinders”. At 7 pm, there are 20 Alliance 60’s in the guild “Lambs to the Slaughter” and 40 Horde in the guild “Neckbeard Gankers”.
The census, if it is to be useful to anyone wanting to know if they’re going to get slaughtered, should report a 2:1 ratio.
If you knew that Neckbeard Gankers was an alt guild for Nolife Grinders, but the Alliance accounts were all unique, and on that basis you reported a 1:1 ratio…it wouldn’t be a pretty sight.
Anyone that’s worked with data for a living knows it’s never perfect especially data compiled for the public thru API. Whenever you aggregate you’re telling a story and I can spin that story in so many ways.
For example if I were to sample the balance I go by Accounts who have at least 1 60 but that’s only good for classic pvp servers because of the faction specific rules set you can only be horde or alliance.
Long story short if you really want to query server balance there’s a lot that’ goes in and you’re moving to some complex SQL. Company isn’t going to just give that away for free or spend the resources for your convenience so stop attacking the resources you have available they can only tell a story and you choosing to believe it or not will not change that reality.
Forgot to mention if I as an outsider can isolate data down to a specific account that’s basically asking for a data breach. No company would let that happen. Be grateful for what you do have.
Netherwind 54% Alliance 46% Horde in all level brackets, but info is wrong Horde dominates the server in every map camping and raiding everything.
again people assuming I have never been ganked or camped because they are using these sites and being like oh your on the dominant side you must never have pvp happen…smh…What ever fits your narrative right.
Can anyone suggest a fun server?
It’s difficult to say what accurate is/should be. What data do we care about with regards to any of this? Does faction balance have the same or even similar meaning to people using it?
Are there even any problems caused by it?
There are many questions that may be worth investigating further, prior to jumping to assumptions, but with regards to the accuracy of the data, it is helpful to look into how it is collected:
Are you kidding me? Alliance ganking people every single place in Netherwind and you are telling me Horde dominates? Alliance rouge and druid all over the place even in UC and org.
Kromcrush horde: 52%, alliance: 48%, pretty balanced but alliance will still cry.
