Here we go!
Mine was over 700 for Huolon. I spent years of my life on that isle. I know every inch of it. I saw the Huolon camp evolve from requiring a raid, to requiring a party, to being soloable, to requiring a party again so more than 1 person can get the tag on her. I wanted it so badly because black/white + glowy blues is my favorite aesthetic, and dragons are my favorite. I can’t get an exact attempt count because it spanned 3 PCs, and WoW doesn’t track Huolon kills for some reason – I’ve actually tried submitting a ticket and GMs can’t help. What I do know is that I have so many Timeless Coins that I’ll have world boss bonus rolls until the end of the WoW.
No mount I’ve farmed has come close to Huolon’s requirement of my dedication.
And yet, I didn’t even really want Invincible, and got it on my 20th attempt, while some players are in the thousands.
I know every player has a story like this, and I’d love to hear them.

I only ever counted one mount: Rivendare’s Deathcharger. It took me 191 tries. That’s probably not my biggest amount of tries.

My final count for the Infinite Timereaver was 3,232.
There’s likely other mounts I have spent more time farming, but that one has the highest number.

WHY WHY DID YOU SAY I WANT THAT MOUNT SO BAD
Only at 1.2k kills. Just the tought that it might take 3k 
131 kills on my dk. Only one Ive given up on as I have gotten pretty much everything else Ive wanted over time. 1% drop rate? kek.
I never really check the “highest.”
I recently had my “lowest”, though:
Got the mount the first kill, couple other people who showed up cheered when I used it 
It is supposed to be about a 3 percent drop rate, but of course not a lot of data on that yet.
I think I used up my rng luck.
Besides that, I really like the 6 percent or so Arathi and Darkshore mounts. A couple of them still elude me, though. It is amazing how much better than “1 percent” a “6 percent” drop rate is.

Maybe you will be luckier than I was? I haven’t heard of a higher count on that particular mount, so it would take a lot to surpass the hatred RNGesus had for me getting it.
I don’t know the number, but I farmed Midnight for years on multiple toons. 5-6 toons a week for a couple years, at least.

I’ve lost count on the Raven lord. .I’ve basically given up and accepted the fact I will never have a pretty bird mount.

How do you keep count of your tries at a mount? I assume it’s an addon?
One way is just the death’s of the guy who drops the mount, such as Baron Rivendare kills.

Like, seven. farming mounts is boring, i hate it.
Not sure how rare midnight is but I got the mount within a few tries.

I am impressed.
It wasn’t a mount , but I very much wanted an Aboriginal loincloth.
The rough count was I killed 700 Barrens Harpies , and went up three levels solely on Barrrens Harpies.
It never did drop. Some anonymous girl I never met before or since bought me one on the Auction House finally.
