Everyone has them, I’d love to hear them. Especially if they’re more funny than sad.
You first.
What happens at Blizzcon, stays at Blizzcon.
We had a diner. We decided the food would come from stuff we cooked ourselves in Azeroth. Now we are all sitting around trying to figure out how to access the food we cooked.
Someone said “There must be an app for that”.
I haven’t seen guild drama since Wrath. And I barely remember that, except I wasn’t guild lead of that guild. A boyfriend/girlfriend combo ran it. And that’s what went wrong.
Outside of that… nothing.
Long story short, a guild i helped found/create/whatever other word you wanna use ended up stabbing me in the back n these were people i thought i was tight with.
Since then my socialization in-game been overall lacking.
I dont want to talk about it.
Yeah, I don’t really have anything to offer lol.
Haven’t really played in a guild since Wrath as well.
People would quit over trivial stuff like losing a roll, and that’s basically it. Or getting poached by a larger guild.
I’ve been a lone wolf, relying on PuGs to get stuff done, for yearrsssss.
I’ve had friends come and go, but that’s it.
I’ve no trouble making in-game friends, too. I’m nice and knowledgeable and won’t even turn down someone who asks a question or for help.
Idk, I guess my work schedule is hectic so I’ve written off guilds as a whole.
Communities serve the same purpose.
I have 2.
1 was mid cata. Husband and wife ran a guild and had an ugly split. I took over raid leading and most of the officer stuff until drama leaked into comms and gchat. Everyone dipped after that.
Another was… mid to end of SL I believe?
The main raiders got a little too high and mighty because of how fast we were clearing heroic. They took “the best players”, aka their little inner circle which we tended to have to carry. And they started a “hardcore mythic raiding guild”. That didn’t last too long
After 1 season, most of them came back.
2 different guilds on 2 different servers. 1 dissolved and the other I quit during SL shortly after the drama.
Aww, poor cat… gently pats and comforts “Can’t say I have any guild drama stories, I don’t stay in dramatic guilds, mine doesn’t allow any to fester, guildies know folks who misbehave get my spiky boot to something preferably avoided.”
Puts out
Goes into Cat form, gets behind ^ /sit spam
those stories are for my friends eyes and my eyes only
My only real one was joining a guild where the leader’s girlfriend was always treated to everything, no matter what, she was first. They ended up breaking up shortly before I joined, but I heard the stories. Well, the co leader, now leader, ended up falling for her and kicking everyone else out of the guild and farming gold for her 24/7.
I love drama!
It’s okay. Lay on the couch and tell me all about it.
I HAVE EN ENTIRE STAGE FOR IT!
Once upon a Teamspeak, me and 2 clans came together in a glorious battle of 16 vs 16
In reality, everyone was there for the one and only girl. Long story short, She left and I was now alone looking for another clan
They called themselves old farts
That was sadly 22 years ago…holy moose the time flies
Lmao who opens a thread to hear guild drama
shouldn’t you be a tauren paladin?
back in wotlk, the guild i was in was running vault of archavon. Ran the dg, the mammoth dropped and i was gonna pass cuz i was low ilvl and didn’t feel it was deserved on my part. Guild leader was like: nah bro roll. ended up winning it, causing some lady to freak out saying how she had so many alts you didn’t even know, all the professions, you’ll regret letting them having this mount, you’ll never get anything crafted, ect n whatnot.
