Alright, so I already asked for everyone’s fears. Now, let’s hear what you guys actually want to happen.
What story development would be a dream come true for you?
Aviala voiced a long-standing lore desire of mine in the other thread:
To be able to become neutral with both sides like a mercenary. I mean, I already fought for The Shattered Sun Offensive.
Off the top of my head?
- Loa!Vol’jin returning to the story and saving the day.
- Lor’themar formally ascending as King of the Blood Elves.
- The Stonemaul clan reclaiming their home and being upgraded to playable.
- Forest Troll tribe reunion storyline that ends with the tribes joining the Horde and Forest Trolls becoming playable.
Only one I can think of is a magical science experiment gone horribly right, and now we have catgirls.
Unironically teaming up with Xal just to spite Alleria
It would be SO fugging funny
Because we learned that Xal’atath’s real goal has been to take all of the void energy on Azeroth and send it back to her masters, the void lords, in an attempt to legalese follow instructions while actually acting in Azeroth’s best interests. Meanwhile, Alleria is trying to stop her because she learned the void lords were being swindled by Xal’atath, because she secretly wants to corrupt Azeroth and swallow it like it was a naaru.
You are reading way too much into it. I just want to see Alleria bordering a stroke, that’s it.
And I want to burn it all down like it’s an elf tree. I wish for chaos.
I thought you were married to chaos.
Gornur, my favorite wolf orc.
I am the chaos!!!
That makes so much sense.
I see the truth now!
I want a Horde quest line to play through. I want them to complete Vo’jin’s story.
What I want is my HORDE back!
—Sadfang
Yeah, if I’m gonna be serious here? This.
I want Blizzard to know they can develop and enrich the factions in stories not about war. It doesn’t even have to be the main focus of an expansion. Just some questlines for each side in the .5 or .7 patches across expansions that resolve some lingering issues (how is the Horde council even working out for starters), push new stories, things like that.
Not every questline has to tie directly into how we’re fighting some world-beater.
Artificers. They are the best part of the draenei and I want to see more of them and them to become more important not just in the draenei story but in general. I vastly prefer the regular draenei arkonite stuff to the gaudy gold garbage made by the Lightforged though.
Preferably a playable Artificer class in some capacity. Whether it’s a full class or just racial customization for a Tinker class works.
I also want more Auchenai. Having good shadow/death priests that are an important part of draenei religion is good. It adds more depth than just having the same Light worship as every other race. They are in a rather confusing spot currently since back in BC Blizzard treated shadow and death magic as the same thing and didn’t really separate them until Legion. Further development to clarify whether they’re non-insane shadow priests or more benevolent necromancers would be nice.
I want the cult of the forgotten shadow to get more showing, its a far more interesting faith then the holy light, and i’d also just like necromancy as a whole to be more of a thing, It’d be good to know the forsaken have an assured place in the world that isn’t just going to disappear 10-20 years down the line.
Focus on a lot of minor characters of various species who aren’t necessarily the faces, but are representative in different ways.
Also Asric and Jadaar are back. Without dying randomly.
I actually miss having different questlines for each faction. Even if they are just mirrors of each other with some small differences. Gave me a reason to actually play my horde toon. As some of those differences could be a little prequel or sequel to the other. Sometimes there are a bit of cause and effect going on. Or different NPC interactions and points of view.
Hell they should pull more Vashj’ir fake outs. Where you think there is going to be some faction conflict only for the factions to join forces out of desperation against a common enemy.
Isn’t it weird that two of the zones that are like that both have the Naga as the main antagonists? Vashj’ir and Nazjatar. And both involve ship wrecks.
I want the Horde to show up for the Blood Elves in Midnight. It doesn’t have to be all Horde all the time, but if there was any point in time to show the heroic Horde actually being heroic, no baggage or apology tour required, it is when their allies need them.
Also, yeah, faction-specific leveling campaigns again, please.
(and maybe, as a treat, have the pandaren heritage questline be about something that isn’t just ji and aysa getting married)
