I like the original Xbox

I honestly think Ps2 was peak.

Even now, it’s the most-sold console of all time.

People will still be playing their Ps2s long when the Ps6 or Ps7 comes out lmao.

It’s just classic.

With the newer ones, there’s less and less of a reason to buy one- more expensive, not many games, and so-on.

I feel like generally consoles have only gotten better. There have been shifts in the game developing industry that have led to a lot of unsavoury practices that weren’t really a thing back in the old days - but I do think the technology itself has only improved.

That said, nostalgia is a hell of a drug and that’s difficult to get past. I’m an adult now, with a job and bills to pay. I no longer get months of holidays a year, like I did when at school.

So I’ll probably never recapture those days where I would pump hours into games without a care in the world, because I was a kid who didn’t have any real responsibilities to worry about.

That said, to answer your question, probably the PS3 and Fallout 3 + Skyrim. I must have been lucky as I didn’t have any major issues running either of those games on my PS3.

I still remember the blinding light as I left the vault that first time, and then seeing the Capital Wasteland span out before me, like it was yesterday. Similar deal with Skyrim and all of the caves I entered, only to then find myself exploring some lost dwarven city or the likes. I spent far too many hours in those games.

I like PS2, and LOVE the jak series, R&C, and spyro.

games aside, I think a lot of my nostalgia for the PS2 comes more from having been a kid at the time, not having any responsibilities, and every game feeling new and fresh since I was still new to gaming.

That would probably go to my Sega CD with Sonic CD, Batman Returns and Stellar Fire

Back when I used to play consoles long ago, I’d say I loved the Nintendo 64 the most. My favorite ones were both Banjo Kazooie games, Yoshi’s Story, and Donkey Kong 64.

SNES and the Final Fantasy games on there. They have an achievement here that’s an Easter egg to FF6. Character Locke says that “I’m not a thief, I’m a treasure hunter.” Pleasantly surprised when I got that.

Game boy advanced or ds, mainly cause the castlevania games, still own and play them.

It’s like picking a favorite child

I had the best times by myself on Xbox 360 with the Tony Hawk’s Underground/American Wasteland games, Midnight Club games. Had some good multiplayer experiences with Halo 3.

Had better overall multiplayer experiences on Xbox One with Destiny and NHL games

Of all consoles…

I probably spent the most time on PS2 playing Armored Core games.
After that, XBOX for Morrowind.
And after that, N64 for Perfect Dark and Goldeneye.
Then the original Playstation which was mostly just playing Civilization 2.

Of course there was more games than those that I played, but those were the most-played. Consoles before that were just the SNES and things that are but adrift in distant memory.

Dragon Force on Sega Saturn. Too bad the memory cards on that system are trash, the internal batteries died within a year. 3 different brands, the official sega and 2 off brands all died within a year.

SNES - Donkey Kong Country series

The ps2 era of Ratchet and Clank. Good times.

PS2.
Three way tie between Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly.
Though I did oft of murderous larks partake in San Andreas.

Gonna go with a deep cut here: the (3)DS, and the Etrian Odyssey series.

N64, no contest. Had the best games…Zelda (Majoras Mask), Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong, Mario and on and on…

the dreamcast was fun but the fact it looked meh and it came out with ps2 and xbox it just failed
wish they port some games over… sonic shuffle is a hidden gem

my fave is ps2 with ffx2 lol

Atari 2600. For nostalgia reasons. I had a few 100 games for it, including a lot of 3rd party ones. There was one that was loaded via cassette into a device the plugged in like a cartridge (I think it was called the supercharger)

Haven’t touched another console. I turned to PC and online gaming in early 90’s. Never looked back because consoles and console games got ridiculously expensive.
