What's your favorite expansion to level in?

Gonna stop playing healers and leveling via dungeons for a bit and try out a DPS. What expansion do you typically enjoy the most? I’m leaning towards Legion or DF.

you quest? i just do 5 mans on hybrid toons toons

Personally I go straight to WoD and open my mage tower. It helps with traversing the different areas of the game.

The Cata zones are my favorite honestly, especially if you do the starter zones like Elwyn/Westfall or Silverpine/Hillsbarad. Super easy quests with good story

Edit: I also enjoy the DF zones, theres so many side quests with fun rewards that it’s always a little different each character I level through it

I have leveled over 30 characters in Classic zones, and they are still by far my favorite.

Honestly WoD has some of the best leveling, and the extra objectives, rares, and treasures add to that xp considerably. You also get your garrison along the way, which can still be super useful even today, even if it’s just for the extra hearthstone.

I don’t know if I have a particular expansion I like leveling through entirely, I like to hop around

Eastern Plaguelands
Howling Fjord, Grizzly Hills, Dragonblight and Zul’Drak
Deepholm and Hyjal
Azsuna and Val’sharah
All three Kul Tiras zones

Those are some of my favorites. Also, if you’re doing Horde, the Hillsbrad Foothills quests are really good, starting with Welcome to the Machine.

Lately I’ve been selecting Cataclysm so I can run around Kalimdor and EK.

Legion.

It’s just way too convenient to get all the class cosmetics while I level instead of coming back to it later.

Cataclysm for me. Mainly due to the older dungeon pool being available and just leveling through those brings me back. I also enjoy running around the main continents and doing quests there too. Yeah yeah, I know people will be like, “Go play Classic!” I enjoy retail, but I also enjoy leveling through the larger world.
