What's with 'x' in PVP names?

I’ve noticed this trend since I started doing pvp this season. Is there any significance to it?

Maybe they want their alts to have similar names or the names they wanted were taken? I substitute ‘s’ and ‘z’ in some of mine to get the name.

Always used the same name until I realised there were newer tryhard names.

I skipped the whole tko crap.

Qt used to be the rank 1 suffix of choice, now it’s been supplanted by x.

Toxic players have very little creativity so just slap an x, qt or lol to the end of their name. I kind of like it. It lets me know ahead of time what I’m dealing with.
