With the recent week / daily server maintenance, this casued a discruption for our guild raids. Since we’re the in OCE timezone and guildies are bunch of working class. Can we just not have server maintenance on Friday to Sunday. This is really messing up with our raiding schedule. Working days server maintenance, do all you want. But a Friday night maintenance (Friday morning PDT), where’s the TGIF culture!!?? we all need a happy Friday raid nights. Please take into consideration. there might have DDOS attack on the HC server, that shouldn’t effect the SOD guys.
I’d reckon the downtime is a “scheduled emergency maintenance”. Either an exploit was found or it’s to implement some DDoS prevention.
its because blizzard, while a big company, has devs with the smallest of brains. kindve impressive they cant figure out how to do maintenance after 20 years. at this point, theyd be better off hiring a bot to do everything, much like theyve done with their customer support. anyone that defends the downtime this week, probably has a brain that shares the same qualities as a marble.

Yeah but SoD and HC operate on the same Classic platform, so when they make changes to one they seem to have to make changes to all.
I bet you it’s not a DDoS thing, because the other servers are unaffected. They just run these game servers on small virtual machines that can’t handle the load and they’re trying to find the best way to manage performance without spending a lot of money.
Thanks for posting this. Blizzard will surely delay maintenance to the weekend as not to disrupt 20 Australian longshoremen.

Yea this is effecting my guild’s raid time. Its getting real annoying having to do 2 days of raid when we could just finish it in 1 night if it wasn’t for this damn maintenance.
