What's with the seeds?

Tell me I missed something. Is there anything we can do with the seeds we get from Herbalism besides plant them? Is there any way to plant 50 of these at a time? Am I expected to plant 100 of these 1 by 1?

Please help.

Yes you plant them 1 at a time. No you can’t do 100 at a time.

I think it’s just Blizzard attempting to make Herbalism a little more interactive. But yeah, having to plant them one at a time for very little (useful) reward is annoying.

  1. Planting them one at a time allows each one to proc finesse and perception as well as giving you a chance for null lotus.
  2. Planting them en masse doesn’t make logical sense
  3. Planting the special seeds gives you things like spores and leyline residue
  4. It gives you all 5 herbs in one place
  5. They’re intended to be planted in groups. If you make a group of 5 with everyone planting it is the fastest most efficient way to farm herbs by far. If everyone has special seeds it gives you so much extra stuff. I once did it in a raid group of 10 and it was pandemonium but in a good way.

But I mean if you don’t like them just giving stuff away to you then go ahead and discard the seeds.

When I got a good number of them, I usually call in a friend that hasn’t collected his weekly KPs. Not long after we arrive and begin to play with the worms, suddenly there is quite a crowd in those patches of garden! We usually farm till we got our weekly allotment and got trough all the special seeds we got. Its very fast.

You plant them one by one in the gardens in hallowfall. We actually have a guild event scheduled on our calendar every Sunday now for all the herbalists to show up and plant seeds for an hour or so or until all the seeds are gone.

The downside to the farm raids is that you set out with maybe 100 seeds to get rid of and since you can get seeds from the herbs picked on the farm, instead you stagger out 2-3 hours later, confused, with multiple herb stacks in your bags and 250 seeds to get rid of on another day

it’s a pyramid scheme i’m telling you!

Our rule is whoever has the most seeds gets to plant.

But then someone goes maverick and soon everyone is being punted in every direction by irradiated herbs and chaos happens.
