Demons and pets are almost comically small now. My succubus is shorter than the dwarf i was standing by for a height comparison in the dragon city. The blue berry demon is shorter than my belf, space goat and orc. And there doesnt seem to be a difference in height that is noticeable between them so doesnt seem like a race thing like weapons and mounts
All pets i get on both this toon and an orc so its not just a belf thing shrink down to itty bitty size
Why do i wanna catch a t-rex for it to shrink down to not even slightly taller raptor size the shrinking they did years ago was fine it wasnt too ridiculous but now its just insane and its another reason this toon gets played as a ranger and not a hunter

I was disappointed when I made my Man’ari warlock, and summoned a Shivarra for him (glyph for succubus) and it was just about the same height, if not smaller.
Shivarra are known for being freakishly tall, my fantasy was ruined lol.
It’s stupid I can have giant pets on my Hunter, but not for my Warlock.
Keep in mind it does apply to level as well, so if you’re a lowbie lock, your demons will be smaller than a max level lock’s. Still not large enough, though, imo. Even at max, felt a bit smaller than it should be.

That’s weird. I just checked and the boyfriend version is still the same height as before.

Yea i saw that tiny ankle biter size at level 10 and lower. I do agree max level is still way too small who would be intimidated by these demons. Even the infernals and other giant ones are all tiny

Demons were mysteriously shrunk when they put demon customizations in the barber shop. I really hope this gets fixed, but seeings how they still can’t figure out how to give the wrathguard a 2nd 2-handed weapon since Legion ended, I don’t hold out a lot of hope for the current dev team.

I was thinking this while looking at 2h transmogs. I remember some weapons being massive but they’re all so small now

i thought succubus were always tiny? could be wrong though
We gnomes have been on the receiving end of the shrinkflation for some time now. It’s about time so of you folks get yours!

Not everything has been shrunk, my Clefthoof mount still looks huge.

(Still no R3 for images, sadly)
Meanwhile NPCs seem to get taller with every expansion. Even Tauren look like comically small children next to a lot of the monsters / town NPCs in the world. It looks ridiculous.

At Blizzard, it is traditional to dice out the scaling.

whats weirder is ONE of my locks Felguard was tiny…about half height…while my OTHER locks felguard was unchanged.
And the next day they were both normal height lmao

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I wish they would shrink more mounts and pets. They’re all so large and take up so much space on my screen that it’s quite annoying and even gets frustrating.
I have to use the pet shrinker glyph on my hunter because the pets are just too big. I don’t like using the dragons or drakes either because they take up too much space. Some of my favorite mounts I choose not to use because they’re just too big.
Would be cool to have a size option in the settings

I believe it might have to do with the fact that if hunter/warlock pets were tamed as their actual size… you’d have giant dinosaurs all over the place… and that kinda prevents a bit of Line of Sight thing. You think TOYS… that gigantify players is bad??? oof…
but I do think they should have something that doesn’t shrink the pet to KNEE LENGTH Sizes… that’s a little… oof… but the line of sight thing is annoying… and I play hunter. lol
The expansion meta reward no longer gives a life size Taivan either.

I first noticed this in shadowlands as venthyr.
Go to the covenant sanctum in Ravendreth and see what I’m talking about. You look like an insect compared to the NPCs there. There are candle sticks bigger than your character sitting on the table.

It drives me insane. Makes player characters look like children and takes away any feeling of immersion the world might offer.
Bring back player-character sized NPCs!

Good to know im not crazy and everything that’s not player related is getting bigger and our pets and mounts are getting smaller
