not talkin about people like xaryu/asmon/pikaboo that actually get viewers/subs/donos and have
talk about dudes like nahj, palumor, partywaffles who legit plays this game nearly all day/week and gets like max 100 viewers
whats the end game here? out of all the games to try to make money off of, you pick wow arena? how is this sustainable for your life and future family life in the long term. this game dies even harder each passing year too
“hey hun, why don’t we have any money in retirement?”
“sorry sweetie i spent my 20s being a professional wow player” ???
Well, one, you can easily start a career in your 30’s and be just fine. Maybe they plan to.
Two, they’re just doing what makes them happy I suppose in the moment. Nothing wrong with that; there’s not really anything else in life worth living for besides enjoying what time you have. Perhaps they plan to segue into another game at some point.
Three, some of them may just have no aspirations and are “real world lazy.” Hard telling lol.
Playing video games all day, safe and cozy in middle America- that’s a clean dub. These guys probably eat 3 steak dinners a day. Central air, scrip painkillers if they want em, etc.
We all know theyre stuck in CA leeching off gov funds cause you can literally ask to get free money over there and theyll give it to you no questions asked
no whats worse than that is the group of players that are at the highest level and who don’t stream.
team luminosity went back to back in AWC and literally didn’t cash in at all on streaming, like are you zerious right now? do you like not making money?
also to answer your question OP, a lot of them have 2nd jobs, or are just double dipping. they’d be playing wow anyway, why not make a supplemental income even if its >$1k a month or something, theyre paying a few bills off playing their least favorite game.
Most of them live with their parents and are unemployed in their mid-late twenties, it’s either they stream for $150 a week or make nothing until they get kicked out.
