Is it 1.12 we’ll get in classic or some other?
If the same map is what classic is getting, alliance will be screwed. Well, unless the horde are terrible and want to play a ‘rush game’ - which I don’t know why they’d do in classic.
Because old AV is dead due to the fact you kill a guy 10 times and the honor for killing them is useless. So if you want any efficiency in the honor grind, which anybody who is seriously grinding honor will be, the best honor per hour is fast games for the bonus honor because wiping their raid 10 times makes them worth nothing.
“Seriously grinding honor.” Yep another good reason to not bother with classic.
The spirit of AV is the long game. Vanilla AV players know what I mean.
Yeah and a lot of people who are trying to rank, myself included want the old AV for nostalgia. Blizzard decided to give us 1.12 AV because it’s less extreme.
Don’t blame the rankers, blame Blizzard for catering to the hyper casual audience. Not even the casual audience at this point.
i wonder how strong npc will be in classic. In Korrak’s elite ones basically one-two shot people
I sure hope they’re as strong as the ones in Korrak’s Revenge. That’s the best version of AV I’ve played in 14 years.
This version of AV is a bit different from the vanilla counterpart. Besides Korrak being there (someone who was removed in early versions of AV), there are more guard NPCs littering the area than at the end of vanilla, and there’s landmines all over the place to break stealth runs into the enemy base.
Isn’t everything in Classic 1.12?
Blizz needs to do some reversion to make Korrak’s Revenge the extreme AV that takes hours again! It was infinitely superior that way! AV isn’t supposed to be about rushing, it’s supposed to be about the long slog!
See AV was changed several times during Vanilla to make it less cumbersome so people would actually do it.
Korrak was yanked early on.
Later on they eliminated the land mines, cut out a whole bunch of NPCs and lowered the health/damage of the ones they left in.
By the time 1.12 dropped, AV was a totally different experience.
