What's up with the Odal Rune all over Oribos?

So this symbol is seen all over Oribos in various motifs: wall decor, along the pillars, along the outside perimeter, etc.

It’s the Odal rune. Means heritage. Used by harmless neopagans and fringe right wing extremists alike.

So, why is it everywhere? The motif was even used in Drustvar, such as the carpet at the entrance of Waycrest Manor. Find it odd.

An artist liked the symbol and decided to use it a bunch. Not everything means something.

Odin probably helped arrange (not create) the Shadowlands as they are now. He’s quite Norse-inspired and as such the runes would make a clear mark of his influence.

Nah lol, he literally traded one of his eyes just to peek into the Shadowlands for a few minutes.

He definitely didn’t design anything there.

This reminds me of that prozd skit where a zealous anime fan defends the fan service in his favorite show, explaining how it has a deep meaning. Meanwhile the author just wanted to see boobs.

Sometimes things have no meaning. Maybe the designers just wanted to add a runic look to the design.

He ripped off the Runes in otherwords.

Stormheim, The Halls of Valor and everything Vrykul including Valkyr are the result of Odyn copying what he saw in the Shadowlands as Mueh’zala delivered his Eye to the Jailer.

Odyn seeing whatever the Eye of the Jailer sees of course means whenever we get noticed by the Eye of the Jailer we also get noticed by Odyn who is probably impressed with what he sees us doing! Our Valor in the Maw is truly a feat worthy of celebration!

Now that is a perfectly reasonable take.

Apparently it was meant to symbolize the O sound…maybe it’s a stand in for the Ouroboros symbol of eternity? (The snake eating it’s own tail represents the endless cycle of a circle, for a circle goes on and on without ending.)

“In the Elder Futhark (i.e. the oldest form of the runic alphabets), it was used to represent the “ o” sound.”
