Most of the people you push away aren’t even interested in changing the game, they’re just playing it normally (and in OP’s case, trying to be social to find a dungeon group) and being punished for it.
Go back to retail is just a phrase they use when they don’t have an argument or that argument is too weak to stand.

No one has been trying to change Classic to be like Retail, most people are advocating for it to be more like the original.
But now we’re getting ilvl changes, Heroic+, and removal of authentic Wrath systems. Classic is closer than Retail than it was before.
OP is complaining about not being able to find group for sub 70 dungeons the week the expansion dropped. Of course no one is going to be running them, there is literally a new…ish, exp that dropped so no one is going to be doing old content.
OP is complaining about how they have to walk everywhere, how things are spread out. Thats the wow we like and want.
Im sorry that the OP is having a hard time leveling, but like…my guy…wrath just dropped, everyone is in northrend, you dont really have a good reason for being upset that you cant find a group for BRD, the majority of the population is not doing it.

this right here, is why the toxicity of people saying go back to retail happens a lot. they feel threatened when players want to see classic thrive on so many lvl’s. whether it be the retail AH implemented cuz the classic AH is utter dogs***** , to have RDF implemented, even tho we have a portion of RDF already implemented already, between BG’s and group finder.
so from my experience when someone says go back to retail its do to them being threatened by those classic players.
You really dont get it do you. People play classic because they dont think those things are bad, they like those things.
Ok think of it like Blood sausage, not everyone likes eating blood sausage, but some people really really like eating blood sausage. If you go up to those people and tell them they are wrong for liking blood sausage and they should just eat something else instead, why are you surprised when they tell you to bugger off?

they actually have been enforcing it. People complaining on reddit and twitter about 7 day bans for insults like braindead or being special. They got a week long ban with no warning which means they took a lot of steps out of the warning before you get a perma ban
Play what you want. Their will always be like minded people on both versions. Im in guilds in both versions.

Incorrect over generalizations are always a good starting point for debate.
RDF came in at the end of WOTLK, in the final patch pretty much in ICC. I played back then and it was a nice QOL change but blizzard already said they dont consider it a classic system which is why its not in the game right now.
Its likely they wont have LFR in cata classic either.

When rdf came out with the icc patch not a single person complained. it was a huge QoL update because it made spamming heroics easier for alts. It was even beneficial for pre made stacks because they didn’t have to leave dala.
The players who don’t want rdf have ptsd over the lfr system from retail and think LFR =RDF. They have an imaginary idea of something being bad back in the day when it in fact wasn’t.
Everything you just typed is make believe. We saw what RDF did the first time. The major thing that made me quit as a vanilla player towards the end of Wrath was RDF

Legit no one complained except for like 5 people ( probably you) who wanted to tell war stories in a dungeon with randoms.

Original rdf was good. The later form of rdf and what has come to be known by many as lfr is bad.
