People are openly asking for layer hop invites in guilds, LFG, trade chat etc. It’s almost a slap in the face to us players who are not breaking the rules.
I know Blizzard said they will remove it in phase 2, and I’ll hold them to their word, but surely there is something that can be done to stop this exploit?
Invite to non-layered layer!
I get it if quest area is absolutely swamped with people and that particular layer is very overpopulated in a particular area.
But Blizzard does need to Ban/Reset/Rollback/Delete any ill gotten gains from people exploiting it and put much more strict constraints on Layer hopping.
I just watched a streamer layer hop over and over. This can’t be a “clever” use of a mechanic. If you read his world chat… you will see chat asking for “layer invite”.

Ive done it to avoid my corpse being camped.
My entire guild chat is filled with people saying “LFG layer hopping” that they put on the Guild Message of the Day to stop asking about it and to /join layer for all their layer swap needs. This is getting a bit ridiculous, lol.
Careful all the white knighters might come in here and defend it. Only a matter of time before they show up. But yes its an exploit end of story. Back in Wrath Athene was banned for abusing mob tagging to reach world first, so why not do something about these guys?
They should just have ppl pick their layer when they sign on. If they want to change layers, they’d have to log off and back on. Back in queue.
Collapse the layering. Is the only option.
There is NOTHING to defend. I just watched it happen. It is out of control.
We need a blue post ASAP. I’m getting camped right now by a ?? undead rogue, however I refuse to layer hop as this is a part of the PVP experience.
Let alone the people who layer hop to exploit resources.
they just have to change the layers so that the players get on the layer in which all the mobs are killed
