someone said unless you do a certain quest you wont be able to do the pre-patch event…
Sounds like good old WoW community hysteria to me.
I didnt think a quest would lock it but its blizzard so wouldnt hold it past them
That reminds me. I forgot to go to Dalaran to meet up with someone so I can take part in having it destroyed.
Maybe that’s the quest you’re talking about?
The announcement says you need to be 70 and complete the Dragonflight campaign to do the new epilogue quest. This is the same requirement as all the other quests added since 10.0.
No it absolutely never said this.
Here’s the actual wording from the announcement:
Players who have reached level 70 will receive an introductory quest and then will be directed to visit Dalaran to start. Players under level 70 will be immediately directed to Dalaran.
The only part of the above statement that changed was the last sentence that they added in after people like me questioned why it was level 70 only.
There are no prerequisites.
That’s a different announcement. I was referencing this one: https://www.wowhead.com/news/the-war-within-pre-patch-releases-on-july-23-345086#comments
That’s just a story quest, not the prelaunch event.
Edit to add: yes, that’s stupidly confusing. LOL
sooo anyone got a macro we can type in to see if we did what quest they are speaking of lol
There is no quest you need to have done to do the prepatch event.
You just need to have finished the Dragonflight campaign to do the story portion of the prepatch.
ya thats what im wanting to check
or is it just the DF main quest that shows in quest log?
Your Dragonflight campaign is tracked in your log. No need for a macro.
thanks guess i need to speed threw these making warrior new main since everything will be account wide
Just keep in mind that the prelaunch event is the Radiant Echoes, which has no prerequisites.
The Visions of Azeroth is just a follow up quest to the Khadgar/Alleria one we did a little while back.
