Cutting corners it feels like.
Megadungeon being split up later is just lazy. Open world stuff being mostly rare farming or bugged basic filler content is lazy. But we have faster patch releases I guess so thats something from a billion dollar company.
I think that since cata they have been unable to understand or accept that the most successful MMOs are those that provide content for a diverse audience of players with a variety of interests and skill levels. They handpick the type of players they want to get feedback from, based on knowing in advance that these will agree with whatever they want to do.
The people who are the target demographic are deliriously happy with the game. Read the comments to any Bellular video on WoW now, where everyone is saying that the game has never been better, they need to keep doing more of the same, and everyone who has left over the years will start coming back, spamming high keys, and doing heroic raiding. Real soon. Especially those who never had any interest in those things, and used to do the content that no longer exists as their end game.
They have to do that, considering how many key employees have left the company.
No they dont. They are slow and always have been. And have around 200 devs added to the warcraft team from buying a company so lets stop with the excuses.
I don’t even understand what point this zone has anymore. It was already meh enough that I didn’t even bother going there aside from maybe some proff quests because the rewards were so lackluster and they decided to just make the only somewhat farmable thing in the zone you could do even worse?
A lot of those have quit. The ones who have stayed are still not at full productivity. But the key people who have quit have left projects behind that could not be completed, because of their absence. In a company with very specific work skills like this one, people are not interchangeable.
This is what insiders have been saying since RTO and that failed all employees meeting Mike botched so badly.
I only engage with Caverns enough to get my Loamm rep for the week, for the spark splinter. Some WQs, Researchers Under Fire, a dig map or two. An hour or two of content.
First, I’d love to see your proof on sub numbers being one of the lowest ever. Secondly the “instance warriors” have been around since vanilla doing what they do. Here we are, 2 decades later.
I was in tiragaard sound the other day, don’t ask me as to why because its none of your business tbh, and i was struck but how marvelous the scenery was. The mountains, the sky, the valleys. Beautiful. Zaralek cavern is just that, a cavern. To each his own, but about the only cool thing about it is the spiral of shadowflame near a chest that i can’t unlock despite having some ability to unlock chests in DF (wrong zone, lmao). Sidenote the anomoly scan hasn’t shown me anything down there either. It just added to extra abilities to my general “spellbook”
