None of those are allowed to draw regions on the minimap. That requires secure code.
The best they can do is use predefined icons.
Worry not, just keep an eye on the major addon sites. I guarantee you there will be several amazing quest locating addons to download.
Just find one you like and run with it. It will make things much better for you.
Doesn’t it sometimes feel like you are teaching at an elementary school and the kids are asking questions like “can I eat paste?” or “can i set fire to the window sill?” or “why can’t I microwave the hamster?”
Hear me out on this:
you don’t want that type of addon
A great deal of the game in Classic is figuring things out, and if you don’t know where things are, well, you won’t be alone in being lost. You’re suddenly working with others toward a shared objective.
That and there’s a jillion online references now for every single aspect of the game, so why have a crutch like an addon? If you get really, really stumped and no one can answer your plea for help, you can always quickly look it up.
questhelper was such a popular addon that it got rolled into the game (the dots and arrows you see on your minimap for quests is what it did.
I’m going to try playing with no quest addons for a bit. It will be fun! Maybe.

Usually Questie or QuestHelper in the old API, but I assume things like Carbonite will reemerge.
The only addons that really matter to me are Dominos and Gatherer. I’m not sure if gatherer will work with Classic, though.
Not the original versions, but I believe that is still currently updated for Retail. I don’t doubt that they will make a new version specifically for Classic.
Dugi Guides is making one for Classic rn. I like his stuff, he goes above and beyond for his subscribers imo.
I used to buy them for my children, it really helps the new.
There’s one called gatherlite I think it was that was supposedly tested in classic beta/stress
