What’s the point of phases if you aren’t going to stick to them? Dire Maul is phase 2, except it comes out October 15th, separate from the rest of phase 2, essentially creating phase 2.0 and 2.1.
How can we trust that the content in phase 3 won’t come out in separate mini phases? I thought we agreed on 6 phases, not last minute changes to releasing whatever feels arbitrarily right.
Sure, why not just release everything right now then? Why not just put out NAXX?
It sets the precedence that Blizzard can ignore the 6 phase plan and release content in “mini phases” such as phase 2.0 and 2.1, 2.2 etc. Going forward, that is not a good power to grant them.
It also sets the precedence that Blizzard is focusing on the hardcore players when it comes to the pace at which content is to be released, which will lead to NAXX being out in under a year.
Seeing as you’re level 16, I doubt you want to get to 60 and have every guild already in AQ40 and you have nobody to join.
They need to release content to people that have already hit level 60, cleared both raids, have alts and maxed professions. There are no breaks, there is no cow level.
And just to think, it took the first guilds 154 days to kill Rag and we have multitudes of players that have done all of that in under 45. BWL will probably be here come Feb, AQ May, and Naxx Aug?
They didn’t spend 3 years rebuilding Classic for it to be finished in a quarter of the time. They could release NAXX tonight and hardcore players could down BWL, AQ40 and NAXX in a few weeks, that doesn’t mean the entire playerbase should be subjected to the top 0.1% of players.
I once had plans to meet some friends for dinner at 7:00 PM.
At about 4:30 PM one of them did one of those group text things saying they couldn’t stay out very late due to a baby sitter scheduling conflict and that everyone needed to meet up at 6:00 for dinner instead.
True story man. I haven’t talked to them since, as I can’t imagine every hearing anything other than a lie coming out of their filthy mouth.
They think players will leave if theres not content, but considering the people that have cleared it all either work from home or are unemployed, they probably aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I’m not understanding the rush either, its just going to make people expect something after all of this faster.
This toon is 16. So what? I use one character to post on the forums total. But I appreciate your attempt at insulting, and failing miserably.
We don’t “grant” power to Blizzard. They’ll release things whenever the F they want. Phase two begins next week is all this means. What, did you really expect things to just be pushed out and released all in a day?
Please point me to the exact timeline that said phase 2 wouldn’t start til months from now? Not being snarky, would love to see the official timeline because I haven’t seen one. Until then, who knows how long each phase lasts or when it begins?
Again, you’re just complaining to complain. no one’s catering to the hardcore players or anyone else.
This is great news as the game needs more content desperately. They should retune BwL to approximate the pre-nerf difficulty to make it last longer. What this means is reverting all the nerfs and applying mob buffs and player nerfs inside the instance to offset the difference between the current itemization, classes, and hardware and the ones from 1.6. It would probably be around a 20 to 30% buff on average to the mobs.
while I don’t disagree with this notion, I fail to see how releasing a pre-raid dungeon is catering to the “hardcore” playerbase who have already gotten full purps?
the average casual player is likely around mid to late 40s maybe 50s by the time DM releases, based on what I see in LFG all the time (more Maraudon and BRD runs than anything, quite a few ZF and Uldaman runs as well). mind that leveling speed really is quite casual…I fail to see how releasing a dungeon that they would be capable of doing before too long is somehow “catering to the hardcore playerbase”.
