What's the point of doing PVE anymore?

Honestly, i even leave early in mythic + because i already know that i won’t get loots because some mobs just hit hard af and destroy the timer (including the pve loot nerf). (Necrotic wake as exemple ), after running 5 mythic + and getting nothing, it feels so much unmotivating that i just gave up now. Pvping is literally now faster. guess the tables have turned.

edit 1 : So a lot of misunderstanding here, I’m trying my best to explain that the pve loot nerf feel not motivating at all and pvp gearing it’s way faster and better. I did a lot of pve in bfa and in legion, take my experience as you wish.

edit 2 : when i leave a mythic+ i know it’s scummy as hell. but when you know you won’t get any loot and your group is just dying. you just wanna end your suffering. and compared to pvp you have the chance to do a comeback when in pve when you lose to the timer you are pretty much done.

To suffer eternal agony begging for loot and increase time spent playing to show the shareholders good graphs.

edit : well the dungeon difficulty + the loot nerf make me not want to play the pve side of the game at all for gearing. and it encourages me to play more pvp than pve.

Because I would rather slam my hand in a car door than pvp.

I like the fact I can rely on pvp for easy gearing tbh. I don’t like that all the early bosses in the raid are mastery heavy though for gear.

I’m not the only one, and i expected someone who will say that. i know it’s scummy as hell. but when you know you won’t get any loot and you group is just dying. you just wanna end your suffering.

RNG is RNG. Deal.

They nerfed the loot in mythic+ and raiding. Idk man doing 3 times more pve to get loot feels fun.

If you aren’t having fun then quit? Gearing is fine.

idk what you want lol

I don’t plan quitting, but it’s frustiating af. i will pvp for now to gear my toons.

Stay the hell out of M+ if you’re not planning to finish it. Who leaves because they ‘might’ not get loot?

Again, it’s always always been this way. Since day one 16 years ago.

This is not new.

People are spoiled by bfa. For most of the games life you could run the same raid and dungeon and rarely see the item you want.

I’ll say it for the 100th time, valor and justice points need to come back.

Then even if you don’t get loot, you at least get some kind of progress towards a guaranteed piece.

you know that if you fail a mythic+ you have a 1/5 chance to get a loot. Do you take the bet? and lose 30 minutes of your life?

To be fair though, the vault providing a an actual choice of the highest key you ran, raid difficulty you did, and pvp ranking is rather good for our gearing, so even if you have an unlucky week with gear, you will pretty much always have a good piece waiting for you.

By that logic, I don’t understand why OP bothered joining an M+ group in the first place.

Finish what you started. Stop being a brat.

Ah because it’s my fault that they nerfed the pve loot af? and getting not motivated?

Yeah that’s how I got Mythic+ ready. Ran BGs and EBGs until I was in 171s. It was a little rough going at first but all worked out in the end.
