Ilvl 385…it’s exactly the same ilevel as a daily emissary. This isn’t even remotely worth the effort of farming 25 horde at flightpoints (or “WPvP” as some people call it).
Now that virtually everyone has at least bought ilvl 400 azerite from vendor (or done heroic BOD), it’s time to bump up the AOO reward back up to 400.
Most alliance do warmode for the loot, not the mundane WPvP.
I turned it back on two or three weeks ago because I found out I could get conquest for some things while in WM. They should open AOO to both sides and just give the under-represented faction more conquest.
At least we have confirmation that Alliance carebears won’t be doing the quest.
At some point the ilvl may need to be increased, but 400 is still too much for now. Maybe in another couple months, when the emissary cap is also increased to 400.
Factions are completely fictional/arbitrary, so is any “reputation” attached to red team and blue team is equally meaningless. I’m not a role-player
Those players represent their own thoughts & opinions. I represent mine.
I see some people taking their faction identity to heart. They have a personal and emotional investment in their faction and boast “faction pride”. But I’m not personally attached to the faction system (it’s a bit silly) since we’re all playing exactly the same game, so I don’t represent alliance. And you don’t represent horde to me - you only represent yourself.
Ooof as much I disagree with your first post that loot should be bumped up to 400 from AOO (absolutely ridiculous request)
This is so true. I wish more people were as reasonable as you are with regards to this BS faction rivalry which is taken way too seriously by certain no-life individuals (on BOTH sides).
I agree that AOO loot should be 400+. It’s only a weekly quest, and it should be more valued than tasks you can accomplish daily. Also, it would serve to help keep the ilvl difference between pvp & pve folk in check a bit. Make it 50 kills instead of 25 if more effort for the better gear is warranted.
What I don’t understand, is why it is only for alliance. If the point is to encourage world pvp why don’t they want to encourage it for everyone? Make it a highly-valued weekly quest that everyone can do if they put the effort into world pvp.
I would suggest that kills while in a raid don’t count, however. I’m not sure if they do currently or not, I haven’t tried to cheese it in a raid group.
Well that’s good to know. The above post also probably makes more sense if I identify my main as alliance. I’m not sure why my account defaulted to a horde alt I haven’t played in years.
The problem there is that it can be kind of skirted if people in the same shard make different groups.
I’ve dealt with 15+ alliance, all in 5 man groups, camping WQ and flight points. If blizz can handle it, a system that looks at the amount of alliance vs horde in a certain spot when you die, and grants credit based on that
If I knew this back then, I would not have xraced a 110 dwarf on the pretense of doing that mundane WPvP full-time as a dark iron dwarf. I don’t regret spending a little Blizz balance and putting in the 7th Leg rep work, but I do regret smoking too many L’s because of Alliance decadence.
I lost BIG on a gamble that I didn’t have to mothball this toon anymore, that I can WPvP on the same faction I actually main. Well, that becomes a problem real quick when you’re fighting at true overwhelming odds a faction that’s just as equally skilled as me if not greater skilled. That Alliance proved to me they can talk the talk, but despite that it would have been welcomed otherwise, big talk doesn’t help get me bigger HK numbers.
But now I’m John Wick, and the Alliance broke into my home, beat me down, stole my car, and killed my new dog.
Look at all these people asking for 400+ loot to camp a flight point. Get off your behind and do some mythic+ or heroic raiding.
Frustration? Just go to LFG Join a 5 man group, and head over to any turtle quest, i guarantee that there will be 20 other alliance “5 mans”, bonus point if you join the group saying its sharding on frostmourne shards.
Wasn’t it 30 at some point? Or was I killing 5 extra just to be sure?
At any rate, I think there will be plenty of quest completions by people like me who consider killing 25 enemies to be a joy rather than frustration. We’ll see whether there are enough next week when we see whether the Alliance bonus has been dropped back down to 15%.
