Whats the most "convenient" class?

A bit of a odd class choice question here. (If its really the case)

Never played vanilla and very excited about classic.
However I have very limited time to play since I’m studying and working at the same time.
Was originally thinking about rolling a warrior, however I heard warrior is one of the worst leveling class and heavy gear dependent, which changed my mind.
What would you recommend if I want a class that can provide the most reward with least time investment?

Will be playing on PVP server and focus on PVE, and some world PVP.

Priest everyine needs heals sorta same but druid second fastest leveler after the hunter. Shamen they need your totems.

If you have a guild then you can probably always get a group and level. Just roll what you like.

If you level by 5 man PUG then go healer. Get groups faster if you have limited time.

If you solo then druid or hunter.

Mage.

You save time by always having food and water. You save travel by always having access to teleport to capital cities instead of other travel options at max level.

In addition it is a fairly easy class to play casually.

Mage definitely has best fast travel. But druid is nice too, hearth to the east, moonglade to the west.

Well classes with self heals are convenient to level.

Most reward casters are probably the ones, you probably would have a harder time finding groups if you can’t heal others.

Will any healer be viable at leveling with pugs and dungeons? I don’t mind leveling as healer but I do prefer to stay DPS for raiding

switching specs often is gonna break your bank – play around with specs but at the end of the day, find something you enjoy doing, and do it until you can’t.

costs 50g after you’ve done it a bunch of times, it increases each time to a max of 50g

If you are appropriate level then yeah any healer will do in a 5man dungeon.

But honestly it depends on tank. Good tank = easy time healing. Bad tank = hard time healing.

Personally never liked healing in retail, so I might want to roll mage. How is warlock compare to mage? or hunter?

This man speaks the truth. I for one will be a wretched tank. Get ready noobie healers!!

Warlock does not compare to mage does not compare to hunter. Classes in vanilla were so different that they didn’t really compare.

Your 100% best bet is pick 2-3 classes that intrigue you the most, play each to 20, and pick your favorite to main

edit - through the above process, one will probably stand out for you before 20 and you’ll have your main character in no time

Thank you and thank everyone who answered here. Will definitely take these into consideration!

for convenience i would say hunter and lock can be awsome as they can solo stuff others cant with pets… and frost mages have teleports and can aoe down huge packs of mobs with ease.

Hotw/ns druid. Solid leveler. Can tank heal and dps all content while leveling. Can arguably do all 3 at 60 aswell. 1 spec. No reapecs ever.

Rogue isn’t too bad, hunter should be super easy (but people will despise you if you don’t learn it well), and druid should be one of the easiest (travel form, no need to eat/drink between kills), but like the hunter you’d have to learn it well or you’ll end up resto in PvE.

Warrior won’t be bad to level, if you spend a lot of time chain-running dungeons with reliable players; good exp and it solves the loot issue.

Hunters are fairly laid-back, mages have to buff and conjure food for the raid, warlocks probably feel like a weird mix of hunter+mage+DoT druid. I’d first decide whether you want to play a melee or ranged class, then decide between stealth or healer or tank.

I like stealth and versatility; tanking and flexible (non-healing spec) support roles I find the most enjoyable, so I’ll main druid and roll rogue & NE hunter alts. (I can tank, heal and self-heal on druid. I can lockpick and stealth/sap/jumper cable if someone needs to run through unkillable mobs and die in order to pass them for whatever reason. My hunter can juggle threat with distracting shot + FD, and growl + distracting shot could save the tank or healer. I was so p!ssed when they removed distracting shot from the game.)

So yeah, just figure out what you enjoy the most and then try to make it work.

Play a mage.

Not so much anymore now that melee cleave parties are a fast way to get exp. As for being gear dependant, it’s really more that our stat scaling is so powerful that we get a godlike power increase with just 20 agi and some strength. In phase 1 raiding, just have 9% hit on gear, preBiS, and diamond flask and you’ll can do more DPS on bosses than any other class.

Hunter… Just the most lazy class with easy farm abilities to make money. Great if you wanna just watch netflix or something and still make cash.

I would have to disagree Warlocks are the second fastest when it comes to leveling.
