Pen was originally going to be both shadow and holy spec’d and since the penumbra is the shadowy area in an eclipse between the light and the full darkness of the center of the eclipse. I have a habit of ending most of my character names with the “ae” as in Latin it can be the ending to a feminine case as well as plural.
