Whats the intended method for frog boss?

Tried a 13 halls, frog killed the timer. We killed it after 4th or 5th time but barely. Seems very hard right now, unless you have everyone able to remove poison. which sadly spriest doesn’t, its a very hard boss right now. Burning the adds is hard because getting hit gets you killed via 10 stacks so no stacking, and it ends up being chaos everyone running around.

Group up and AoE them down while moving as a group. Use any AoE CC you have; Gorefiends Grasp, Frost Trap, Mass Entangle, Void Tendrils, Ring of Frost, Ring of Peace works very well.

Doesn’t the frog eat the adds?

  • Hunters have tar trap, than kite them in circles through it. They also have frost trap and concussive shot.
  • Monks have ring of peace.
  • DK’s have the mass grip. Might be helpful for the tank to use as I don’t think they would target the tank.
  • Sigil of chains might be an option once DH’s start taking the right side.

I’m sure just about every class has some for of slow stun or other cc or a speed buff to out run them.

if you have an herbalist, be sure to pick the infused mushrooms before the giant frog. Try this route if you don’t have poison cleanse - it’s accessible after the first boss

You should do this cuz Archdruid Naguura said to! :100:

The big frog eats the small ones around him soon after they spawn, stack loosely to bait the frogs together then cc them on top on the big guy and he’ll remove them from the fight.

That just makes me confused as to why the tank was telling me to absolutely never bring the small frogs near the big one when i was getting chased by them on my healer last night.

Mass entangle lasts about a hit.

Seems like it’s a kite phase. Have to stay away from ones that are focused on you while hitting ones that are focused on other players. Turret casters just have to run around, jump, and tell jokes or something.

A very important thing which I’ve seen MANY tanks not do on this fight is to soak the big green poison circle. It may look like bad, don’t stand in fire thing but if at least one person (usually tank) doesn’t stand in it, boss gets buffed and becomes much harder.

Also, as few have mentioned above, kite the small frogs “in front of” the boss (he won’t eat any on the side or behind) and he will eat them. You can use many forms of CC for that or just cleave kill for meters padding if that’s a thing that makes some people happy.
