Thread title!
battlegrounds?
Dailies, usually. Zereth Mortis Rares tend to be second but given how little players are roaming about from my experience, it isn’t really the best choice but surely there’s a group or two that solely do a “train” from one rare to another. I just hunt w/e dailies that have anima and get it done.
Do you do world quests too?
You could look into getting this:
The catches are:
- You have to do Korthia
- It’s NOT an account-wide unlock and you have to earn this on every character you want it on
- It does NOT work with ZM content
- It will eat your bag space because it can picks a random +5 anima variation from the zone each time you earn them
If you’re in it for the long haul it might be worth it since it does add up pretty fast. I find ZM is fast “any time” anima if you can get an active zone with constant rare-farming. Other than that, doing weekly world bosses and convenient anima WQs around.
There’s also the vendor by the Oribos FP that sells a BoA item that costs 1k anima to gain 1k anima. You can use that to funnel existing anima to/from alts (or other covenants) at no loss.
A daily ZM clear will get you like 4-6k anima a day pretty easy.
ZM for sure. Pick up Patterns Within Patterns, do enough to complete it and you will absolutely have thousands of anima.
Ahh, sorry, World Quests. Meant to say World Quests. But yeah, those are my most go to for farming.
ZM and Korthia still give good anima. Most of the time I get anima rewards in Korthia.
per day, what?! What is considered a daily ZM clear. Just dailies + WQs?
I would think zerith mortis. Just kill rates and loot boxes. You’ll have more anime than you’ll have stuff to buy with it.
Dailies, rares, chests. I usually spend about an hour there when i need anima
Do all the korthia stuff, and zereth mortis chests can get a decent amount of anima depending on all the anima boosting stuff you have unlocked.
Where can I view / unlock these boosts you mention?
There are 3 achievements here. They are related to your covenant sanctum and unlocked character specifically. If you swap covenants you maintain the anima bonuses. But ideally you want rank 3 covenants on one covenant for each character for the full bonus. Check your achievements to see how far you for these achievements.
And one korthia item from the vendor
The second item is tied to a reputation though. So you may have to grind for it if its your first time. On alts once a character has reached the rep they can learn it immediately and benefit from the research boosting items if you send it over from a main.
Korthia still gives more anima than Zereth Mortis. Everything drops it and the zone is much smaller and therefore faster to get things done. ZM drops plenty but a full korthia session will bring 4K at least every day
Korthia gives you more anima if you have the boosts. Zereth mortis doesn’t benefit from the boosts though so it’s a nice anima farm if you haven’t done korthia yet. And on alts that haven’t unlocked the sanctum upgrades.
If you have handynotes and know where the chests are Zereth Mortis is a decent anima farm as long as you keep getting chests. Since korthia chests are limited daily and Zereth mortis isn’t.
I think Zereth Mortis is probably faster than Korthia, especially if you’re on a character that hasn’t done chapter 4 of Chains of Domination because then you won’t even have access to some of the dailies. With a piece of cypher gear socketed with the Toxicialic buff, you can kill a lot of the rares quickly even if no one is around to help. Also if you go on Wowhead and copy all of the TomTom coordinates for cypher-bound chests and forgotten treasure vaults, you can just fly around and get a lot of anima from those
Kill world bosses on alts?
There’s 3 up every week that’s 1500 anima per character.
Also the elite WQs often give 500 anima too.
Idk… I go there on my warrior and nearly every rare is up and ready to kill. My warrior is geared and can solo all of them. 30mins and I have a few thousand anima.
