Yes, this happen to me falsely accused of botting or a hacked account would bring fear in a player just doing a normal activity .Think twice on who you accused first ,warden isn’t fail-proof either,But it is a scary situation.

Except, your solution is to take away abilities from those who did nothing wrong, and again stick your heels deep in with the well it deserves a shot.It doesn’t. Ever, and you calling for it is wrong.
Considering that all classes receive nerfs to their abilities whether you experience the benefit of what is being nerfed or not, I don’t think Blizzard would agree you. I know my damage has been nerfed at least twice in SL. Someone was apparently doing too well with their hunter, and that someone certainly wasn’t me, but here we are. When it comes to class changes, the innocent are almost never separated from the guilty.
Blizzard keeps bugging me to share the posting love, and, since I owe you absolutely nothing and I have to waste time pointing out your fabrications about what I actually did say, yeah, I responded to someone other than you for once. You’ll get over it.
I don’t think it’s ridiculous. Sometimes persistent problems require radical solutions. I’ve wasted enough time reporting botters only to see them replaced by more botters a day or two later.
First, they don’t need me to call for them to do it as they already do it just fine themselves.
Second, I wouldn’t call having gathering function for druids the exact same way it functions for everyone else “kneecapping.” Your ability to gather skins is still mostly going to be function of how fast you can kill what you want to skin, not the seconds it will take to swap forms in order to skin. If it’s like archaeology, the form-swapping from boomkin to elf could be almost instantaneous.
Because I’m not really out to get druids, another idea I just had: If an area experiences a certain amount of kills in a given amount of time (the equivalent to 10 players just hammering away everything as it spawns for 30 minutes or so), it spawns an unkillable elite that, angry at all that killing, spams AOE attacks and dazes on the players doing the farming for the next five minutes, ideally killing all of the botters.
Balancing toons is not what you are talking about here. You want abilities to be made unusable, big difference.
There is no need to hit classes at all, they need to fix the bot problem, punishing players for the stupidity of others is non-sensical.

The only ability you’d lose is the ability to not auto-dismount/stay in animal or boomkin form when taking action, which is what everyone else has to do. Auto-dismount/form swap is how archaeology works for druids, so it’s a gameplay model you have already experienced for years.
When methods A, B, and C don’t work for 17 years - and the gold buyers don’t seem to have learned their lesson even with Blizzard itself selling gold - maybe it’s time to try something else, like looking at the mechanics that make classes popular to botters.

Right now, they need the bots for their played time metric for the shareholders. I imagine, if WoW is like my friend’s list, it’s getting scarce. Seriously, it’s dropping fast.

would you guys knock it off with this? the time played metric for wow is reported in one single line of the quarterly report. if you think this is one of the top 10 factors most shareholders care about, you’re really misinformed about what the “average” shareholder looks at
Then why do they parade it around every quarterly report like it’s gospel?
have you LOOKED at the quarterly report? it’s literally one line in a 22 page document (2020 Q3)
And yet it’s there. Like the shareholders are supposed to gobble it up.
People, you forget that some botters can use chargebacks to recoup money when banned. Waiting 3 months stops chargebacks

A lot of truth there. I have personally gotten my 4th bot this week taken care of. Blizz gets back to me each time i report. I also have video of the botter just in case it is needed. Its insanely easy to spot one farming leather. They will use Swipe only that is altered to extend out over 30 yards to gather them, and they will just sit there and swipe. Just watch them sometimes, click their targets and see that they do not use Thrash, Moonfire, or anything else but Swipe.
They are so easy to spot. Also theres another problem, bots being able to skin your mobs even if you do not loot, and then, they ninja your skins, and make the mobs un-lootable for you. This is done without them having to attack a single mob you have killed. Had it done to me by the same player in a half hour, just walks up and skins the entire pile i had un-looted, and they vanish, leaving me with no skins or loot!
Got to love that one.

IIdont know why people believe that bots and their ability to exist in wow is because blizz get mmoneyfrom it.
That is stupid.
The thing is you just cant ban accounts like that, you need to see their logs, and unusual activities is s long process that takes tiems.

Wanna first say i dispise cheaters & liers. i think botting falls under both, cause not only do you cheat, but you lie about it to everyone you meet in wow. So i do not want botting to continue to exist. Nor do i wanna make it easier for them, but i do wanna make a point, ive been banned for “Botting” even though ive never botted, and i actualy got it turned around in just 48h after explaining i am blind. and was unable to realise wat was going on. i thought i was doing something but i wasnt cause a GM had TP me and i obv cannot see that lol.
To get the the point… Using your eyes to tell if someone is cheating, is not accurate. It cannot determine the reason why they are performing so poorly. This is not only indicative of botters, there are blind people who play wow. and mimic the look of a bot. This is why you NEED proof, any kind of actual evidence that ONLY shows for botters. I will be fully blind soon(im about 90% there), and i intend on continuing playing wow. and ive been looking up guides on how to play blind, before its too late. I must say, alot of these methods of playing, auto targeting, Standing still, Keyboard turning & Spinning to figure out what direction a sound is coming from. Looting weird, using few spells, attacking in one spot, using click to move, or getting stuck, trying to unstuck, and ways to find out if your stuck on a tree or wall, these all look like bots. Try closing your eyes an ONLY play wow using sound, and record it. Go back and watch it, you will laugh at yourself. It looks like a bad bot. So you cannt say this guy bots cause he might not be able to see his screen… Dont take yyour vision for granted… Not all of us can respond the way you do. This is why you need hard proof, not i looked at him and it looks like a bot… The ladder is not fair, to people who may be impared, who bought the game same as you.
here is some proof of my claim. please consiter this when you think someone is botting. try to PM someone, alot of times we will PM back cause we will hear the MSG sound. we cannot read what you say, but i still respind most of the time letting who ever it is know im blind and cannot read w.e they sent.
you need to remember what its like for someone who isnt as blessed as you.
