So its been about 3 weeks since I started working on my laser chicken and I love it, its fun and space lasers and yadda yadda. Been trying for the red form off tindral for about 3 weeks…clearing lfr, nor al and getting carried through heroic and still no xmog drop…what is the stinking drop chance on this thing cause shouldnt i have gotten it by now or do I have to complete the intro story line or whats the deal?
Isn’t that a mythic drop?
It can drop on all difficulties, including LFR.
OP, hard to tell drop rate since it only drops for druids, so any drop rates listed on wowhead, etc. will be skewed. Some people said 9-12 runs and still haven’t gotten it. Just keep crossing your fingers, I guess! Good luck!

Its a 0.8 freaken drop chance for the red feather? Thats even more rare than fyr’alath…at this point is it even worth going for it this late in the expansion?
Since we’re already at 10.2.5 I feel like they should up the drop chance on it to like 10%
The recorded rate on Wowhead isn’t going to be accurate, as it is including all kills recorded by people running its addon even if they aren’t eligible for the drop (i.e. not druids).
I’d estimate the rate is closer to between 5-10%. My druid only has like 8 Tindral kills and got it; also saw it relatively commonly in guild amongst our druids.

Im sitting on 9 and still havent gotten it yet…im starting to wonder if I have to do the intro quests to the emerald dream to really give it that chance cause i havent even done those yet, just hopped on my druid and went running around
You don’t, thankfully. I didn’t touch the intros to ED on my druid and I have all the forms (except from the mythic raid mount, ofc).

I wouldn’t pay for carries personally.
I had it drop in LFR on an alt’s 2nd run.
To me, if you’re willing to spend money on carries, spend it on a boost or 2 (currently priced @ $100 for two 70 boosts). You get 424 gear, which gets you into LFR.
The more druids, in theory, you throw into the fight, the greater your chances of looting your desired form.
This toon got the feather in I want to say, three attempts or less. Also got the Blazing skin a couple weeks ago, both from LFR. I’ve done a normal run or two, but this alt hasn’t really done much past LFR, was surprised a bit to get both out of LFR, but that also proves, it’s possible!
Also got Aurostar’s skin, on I want to say, about the 10th or 11th attempt. I think I’m missing Mosa’s and maybe Cyan, but I wasn’t/haven’t been farming them regularly each week.

I got it last week after only doing LFR and Normal (but only did normal like 3-4 times) since it became available.
Honestly the only Druid form left that I don’t have and actually want is the travel form Talth drops. That’s actually the only ground travel form I don’t have. So sick of farming that darn mob every day.
I didn’t even stop to see what item we’re considering drop chance for.
It’s not good enough, whatever it is. It’s too low and should be given away to anyone who wants it. Just fill out a form.
I dont pay for carries either, I run heroic with 2 guilds and went “hey can I bring my druid to exchange getting upgraded belor relos on my warlock for essentially a transmog item?”
Guild response was typically “Sure bring him”
Finally got it on tuesday and since S3 is coming to a close im focused on getting the druid forms I actually want
