Just had TWO of those warlocks in a random BG.
Yes, very toxic play mechanic.
Nerfs incoming. Leave the slow on the first target so the warlock has to actually think which target he wants to use the slow on.

This is the key, just line the damage.
Don’t get hit.
Ikr? It always tilts me when a warrior only uses his leap to line me. And that’s on ANY caster I play. Pop a damage cd? It’s now useless… leap on cd and pop a cd? Intervene to los…
So tilting ![]()
On my Boomy I tend to pool damage and go off a kick on the spr… maybe as melee saving damage for a go on the lock is better? Not sure but I much prefer going spr on lock outs
How would the lock have time to post on forums mid game without the perma slow?
Anybody else read the initial OP post like Jerry Seinfeld…or am i old?
Hahahahahaha
Hahahahahahaha
Hahahahaha
Hahahahahahaa
1.5k DPS per target is meaningless pad damage that doesn’t have to be healed lmao Bramot u dummy
i mean, sacrolash is preeeetyyy cancer.
unfortunately it is the ONLY thing keeping warlocks viable atm, and their damage is balanced around it.
Its kinda like rogues with Master Assasin.
you have no choice but to use it. you HAVE to use it.
Thanks for understanding this. I would LOVE to try other legendaries but nothing compares.
I guess I could try out the gate one but I don’t think it would be anywhere near as useful.
Or you know, try to run one that actually increases damage in a meaningful way.
I think most are running the rotten legendary now.
What’s sad about shadowplay (having played into it a bunch last night) is the teams I’ve seen around 2k-ish are really really really good. Their CC is on point, they play a great dampening/mana game, etc.
Then systeml…errr shadowlands pvp reality comes into play with cooldown stacking and one of them (usually the lock) gets deleted the second they’re connected to. Sometimes 5+ min into the match, where they have every advantage.
/shrug - I legit felt bad for a few of the wins.
funny what you can build skill at when you don’t ever worry about people leaving the 5 yard range within which you can play your character
If you’re playing a warrior and can’t sit on a Warlock training him the entire fight - you’re doing it wrong.
i have to know what makes you think this
Let’s see, defensive cooldowns for an Affliction warlock are as follows: Unending Resolve 3 minute cooldown and only reduces damage by 20%.
Mobility cooldowns: Gate once every 90 seconds, port once every 30.
That’s it. Between leaps and charge warriors cover for it all - not to mention whatever your playing with that is also trucking us.
This sums it up pretty well, TBH.
i didn’t ask about defensives, we’re talking about how slippery aff is
you are a ranged, and you have a 20 second long hamstring without a hardcast, so you actually aren’t supposed to get connected to by a warrior at all until they expend some kind of mobility. say it’s charge; they’re on you now, and you port immediately. the warrior now either has to give up on you, leap to you, or intervene to a person who is already on top of your port. say it’s leap; you use soulshape or gateway, and you’re gone again. how do you get reconnected to? what are you doing that a warrior is rp walking back into melee range faster than you can fullrun away whenever hamstring times out?
asking genuinely
If you believe locks are just walking around arena’s right now without ever being connected to because of Corruption then idk what to say to you. Try playing a warlock I guess?
I’m also talking about 3v3s because lets be real, 2v2s aren’t for competitive discussion.
Soulshape is a covenant ability and not class specific. Anyone has access to it.
If I soulshape and gateway then I’m getting HoJ’d by the pally or PS’d by the priest, or rooted by the druid, or poly’d by the mage, or kidney’d by the rogue. All while the warrior is simply walking back over to me or using 1 of many mobility moves to continue the onslaught.
Our class mobility is extremely limited and once it is expended there is a solid window of opportunity to land us in the dirt.
Also…
Never charge initially. Always run in if you can. I’d stay mounted and and just run in. It’s all gravy after that.
That’s like warrior 101
improve your attitude, combatant. one of us is right about this, i’m trying to give you the benefit of the doubt
some of this is obviously not worth replying to so i’ll only address what kinda is
this is very bad feedback, almost no melee these days are night fae and having soulshape against any other covenant ability is a mobility advantage. be intellectually honest about that.
this is also terrible feedback. the warrior’s teammates help that much, but your team doesn’t help you at all? not what we’re talking about. you are not struggling this season because you fight good WMX that polies you just to lock you up for the war to reconnect.
this seems actionable. you are making the mistake of not thinking about the enemy mobility specifically. every good ranged player builds that skill; knowing exactly how the enemy could get in on you and planning for it
this is a lie
sweet edit dude i just gotta know did you read the post you’re replying to cuz
if you get landed on by a mounted warrior as an aff lock you have chosen to not press corruption slow for a pathetically long opener
