My idea: rename it to “Trophy” armor, that way you don’t have to go back and fix every old item in the game that was already fixed once when you stopped having to hit level 40 to equip plate or mail. Going forward the identity of “trophy” armor is being made from the bits and bobs of the enemies you defeat, all trophy armor has an aesthetic related to the enemy it’s made out of, which differentiates itself from Leather which isn’t necessarily cow-themed just because it’s made out of a cow. Think Monster Hunter armor.
This doesn’t just mean animal and dragonkin themed sets, but you could even have cyborg armor from mechanical trophies and such. It could also mean things salvaged from trophies taken from a humanoid, like like back when it blew everyone’s mind that you could get Herod’s shoulder during an invasion of the Scarlet Crusade’s territory and it looked like the same shoulder gear he was wearing.
I think I look pretty good, and I dont see anyone else using my mog.
Call it a matter of taste but I haven’t seen a good plate set in ages. I think it’s the graphics more so than the armor type
