I just put up gold/rank 3 quality mats for a neck and a illimited gem as a Crafting Order, and they came back bronze and silver quality.
Why am I not getting gold/rank 3 quality products out of my gold/rank 3 mats that cost gold/rank 3 currency in AH?
When you put up a public order, any crafter on your server, no matter how poorly skilled, can claim the order as long as they have the recipe. If you want a minimum quality on an item, you should seek out a crafter and send them a personal order. You can set minimum qualities on personal orders and the crafter you send it to will not be able to craft the item unless they can do that rank 100% of the time.
In the specific case of the gem however, it requires a limited crafter only reagent to be 100% guaranteed t3 (the highest it can go) so keep that in mind since many crafters will want a premium to use their limited reagent to 100% guarantee it.
Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous?

The gem thing is a little ridiculous, especially since they can’t be recrafted, but public orders are specifically there for leveling crafters and people who don’t want to look for a crafter and don’t care about item quality.

I subbed and am trying out this game literally this week.
I don’t know anyone to privately approach. Nor should I have to.
I put up the rank 3 mats and the handsome tip, I should get what I paid for, not rank 1 trash and zero apologies.
I can’t believe the thousands of people who play this game are okay with this. Straight cope.

You can often times find people who are posting in trade chat, or if you post in trade chat a crafter can see it and pm you. Crafting is meant to be a social thing this expac.
