I havent played in a long time, I played to max level when the latest xpac came out and just quit. What’s currently popular within WoW nowa-days? Also what would be better for returning players, retail or classic?
Retail or Classic is very much up to you. Personal taste. I thinkmost people primarily play Retail, and bounce into Classic when they feel like a break.
Classic is on Phase 3 of Mists; Throne of Thunder. It will be going into Phases 4 and 5 over the first half of 2026
Retail has Legion Remix still going on for another month or so, if you’re into that sort of thing, or you can catch up with regular TWW content.
