I think i need to create a Horde on an actual Horde server… im reminded despite all this warband cross server stuff, what server you play on STILL MATTERS.
Walking around an empty Valdrakken asking for a crafter in trade chat for an hour straight, with no responses, and trade chat quiet as a church mouse (nobody even arguing about politics) reminds me server still matters.
So, if i whip up a Horde really quick in Remix what server should it be?
Area-52?
Illidan?
Tich?
I main Alliance… im trying to remember the big Horde servers… which is the best?
As someone who mains Alliance on massive Alliance heavy servers like Sargeras and Stormrage, i forget that creating a Horde on the same server doesn’t work… you get an empty, barren Orgrimmar, a quiet trade chat, no crafters available and no guilds. I don’t care how much Blizzard touts warbands and cross server features, server still matters.
I’m more looking for 3 things:
cities arent full of tumbleweed
actual other players to converse with, see in town, get crafting services from
active guilds
None of these things exist on dead servers or servers you put a Horde onto that are primarily Alliance dominated.
Im not looking for spam, im looking for meaningful activity… dead servers or being on the wrong faction of a faction heavy server still matter.
You’re going to get massive amounts of spam on any large server. I use BadBoy and BadBoy CCleaner and have a long list of keywords to block from chat. Even after filtering out all the trash on Area-52 the chat is always moving with crafters and people bs’ing. I imagine Illidan and Tich would be much the same. Boils down to what time zone you want to play.
Im used to big servers… just not Horde ones… my Alliance toons are on Sargeras… its always lively and i do use badboy to cut down on spam… i have a few Horde alts, but the experience is like moving from NYC to Hicktown Wyoming when i switch to Horde… wanna change that.
Speaking of which… what time zones are those servers?
