There isn’t any good way. Most items don’t sell for anything.
The best way is boosting on a mage but that isn’t really farming.
GDKPs would probably be the next best but they are a cancer and if you do them you should be banned.

Sign up for DoorDash/UberEats/Walmart Spark driver accounts.
Do one to two hours of driving on Friday night or Saturday night.
Then buy gold with real money.
Blizzard supports this practice so you won’t be banned.
You may also consider downloading and running a bot since that is also supported by Blizzard and you won’t be banned.
I’d say these two methods are the best ways to make gold in WoW.

Go mine copper/tin/iron. Everything from mining sells pretty good, with Heavy Stone selling the absolute best oddly enough.
Alternatively, if you have about 20g saved up, make an Enchanter Alt. Get a character to 10, slap 150 enchanting on them, buy the extra recipes from the AH, and sit in Darnassus or SW spamming enchanting services.
My Enchanter has made 330g in tips so far. He’s five days old.
Its Enchanting actually. Enchanting is the Final Frontier. Bots can’t do it (though the more scummy enchanters are using scripts to auto-inv anyone who says ‘LF enchant’ in the main channels) and you can make so much money from tips its not even funny.
In fact, Enchanting will be the BIS Profession all of Season of Discovery, so long as the new raids remain on a 3 day lockout. Players are constantly getting the best gear in the game every single hour of every single day, making enchanters constantly necessary.
Even with there being hundreds of rival enchanters, I make 50-100g a session sitting in Darnassus offering my services on my enchanter. I suspect I’ll do the same thing in Ironforge next Phase once I’ve played out the game on this character, my main.

last week i made 700g on the AH, didnt leave the city, and i started out with 5g. USE the AH and flip things, bots are CONSTANTLY off loading their haul on the AH.

Imagine trying to ban people for a loot method.
If you go to google and just type in Wow Gold - Servername - Faction im sure you will get heaps of hits on how to find enough gold to be buying all your phase2 bis boes
Enchanting and Alchemy make a good amount, playing the AH, hell just questing atm does well.
I just gdkp in wrath of the lich King classic and then swap the gold to SOD.
BFD gdkps aren’t that profitable.
