so im kinda tired of having to die 10-20 times just to get on and off a boat to 70 zillion rogues and mages while the alliance do noting in IF but /emote or something, is it better to port to Darn or take the Booty bay boat.
also wash yer back 10k honor
All the steps, in order:
Going from Stormwind to Darnassus:
- Create a human character. Make sure you are on either a Normal or RP realm, not a PvP realm. Again, if the realm type has “PvP” in it, choose a different one.
- Run to Stormwind.
- Take the tram to Ironforge. Get the flight path.
- Go east to Loch Modan. Get the flight path.
- Go north to the Wetlands. Get the flight path.
- Take the ship from the north dock in Menethil Harbor. Get the flight path in Auberdine when you arrive.
- Take the ship to Darnassus.
If you’re a dwarf or a gnome, you can start at step 4 once you’ve reached Ironforge.
The other way, Darnassus to Stormwind:
- Create a night elf character. Make sure you are on either a Normal or RP realm, not a PvP realm. Again, if the realm type has “PvP” in it, choose a different one.
- Run to Darnassus.
- Go through the portal behind the bank and fly to Auberdine.
- Take the ship to Menethil Harbor. Get the flight path.
- Go south to Loch Modan. Get the flight path.
- Go west to Kharanos, where Ironforge is. Get the flight path.
- Take the tram to Stormwind. Get the flight path.
Ta-da!
So back to my question Booty bay boat or Port to darnassus
kinda leaning towards Booty bay but IDK
There are alternate ways to do things. To avoid most pvp on a pvp server you want to go from Ironforge to Wetlands.
Take the boat from there to Darnassus, get the flight path. You can get the darkshore, astranaar and ratchet flight paths from there. Don’t bother going anywhere near the boat in Ratchet, just fly from ratchet back to darnassus.
From Darnassus take the boat back to Wetlands and take the other boat in Wetlands to get to Theramore. Get that flight path and then prepare to swim on the coast from Theramore to Steamwheedle port then run from there to Gadget and get that flight path. Just about everything else connects from there and you are good to go.
All of this avoids STV, Booty Bay and other PvP hotspots for the most part.
unfortunately Menethil Harbor, theramor isle and both boats are 24/7 filled with at least 20-40 rouges and mages so i can’t really take those boats unless i wanna die 10-20 times.
so I’m thinking ill just use port to darns and fly all the way from it
What? I’m on one of the most populated servers with one of the most disgusting horde/ally ratios and those boats are usually safe.
Lol you know people just read the first sentence and didnt read the rest right? What a waste of time.
Like why must the horde troll us in here so hard? Inst camping our fps enough?
yeah it’s kinda bad it takes about 10 deaths both loading screens before you can get to the flight master on ether side. and you have to hope you don’t miss the boat with your dead body on it or you have to do it all over again.
Then you’re really not.
I play Alliance on Stalagg, and I can confirm that the boats ALWAYS have 3-4 rogues on them.
That’s not talking about the 5+ horde camping the flight point, and the 10 camping the docks, either.
glad to see im not the only one with this happening
I love wpvp i do it all the time kill the reds dead and everything.
but it’s kinda ridiculous to have to go threw the song and dance just to get through 2 ALLIANCE CITY’S
I normally get a port to darn… Boat to Darkshore is always being camped, if not then the dock is…
Roll Horde, take zep from UC to Org- never flag on pvp server.
Because Horde favoritism.
Then Quest all the way to 30 as Horde without flagging on a PvP server because Barrens.
Then Dungeon from 30-45 without flagging on a PvP server as Horde because Scarlet Monastery.
I’m primarily running ZF and Maraudon right now, so I set my hearth to Desolace. I can always pay a mage to port me to Stormwind or Ironforge, or even grab a port for free after a dungeon run. Hearthing to Kalimdor is much easier than trying to actually hoof it there.
