Pretty much in title, when Comp Stomp isn’t up, of course. I hate to inflict myself on my team in PvP but mogging is very important.
Epic battlegrounds. Also any sort of frontloaded bonus, like daily wins, weekly quests, etc.
Join epic battleground and “defend” a point
If you mean AFKing, I would do anything for mogging, but I won’t do that.
Alright well then you can just join epic battlegrounds and follow the clump do as much damage or healing as you can. Don’t forget to grab the non-ranked weekly PVP quest pretty sure its epic battlegrounds this week.
Epic Battlegrounds. Some of them have PvE aspects, seriously in Alteric Valley there’s a chance you may not even touch a player on the other team. There’s ones with siege that while very important to winning those particular maps, they’re at max like 4 buttons, it’s mostly just aiming. Then there’s the fact that it’s 35 - 40 people on each team, it’s chaotic, but if you’re with the group your death, as sad as it sounds, probably won’t be as impactful unless you’re a healer, a tank (in certain maps), or holding something important (such as the Ancient Artifact in Ashran, but if you’re not much a PvPer you wouldn’t be taking that anyways).
How do you win at bingo if you dont want to play bingo?
“creative use of game mechanics”
whistles innocently with honor level 174
(Alas, they ripped my solution completely out of the game)
I just go into epic bg’s on my warrior and throw myself at the enemy in suicide runs. If they’re killing me then they’re not killing my teammates!
Also don’t forget the pvp vendor in Oribos sells a crate with badges of honor for 2k honor points
Sorry this kinda a long read, but I thought this was relevent to other PvE players looking at this forum post.
You can wait 5 days for Comp Stomp, as it got pushed back to the 12th.
Or
Que into the Battle for Wintergrasp, hope for defense, climb the South East outer most wall tower everyone jumps off on their way to Sunken Ring, shoot the cannon into SR flag, then move to base cannons as needed to defend the keep, tell your team in /instance when there are incomings, never leave the keep, profit. Id install the addon capping to see how far your team is on destroying the enemies towers which lowers the bg timer.
If you get attack, follow the group to the SR fight, try and tag 10 people for a promotion. If you win the fight grab a Demo and follow the rest to attack the keep, the BG will usually end in 3 minutes after this point. You’ll get minimal honor for this but it is still honor.
If you lose the fight for SR, you can try and backcap the other points on the map by standing under their flags, kill the npcs to clear the way for others. More than likely everyone after SR is lost will leave, and you will be farmed for honorable kills.
I wouldn’t join the other epics. Ashran is just a big team fight at Ogres, were the only ones that don’t go are either stealthing into the enemy base to kill important npcs, going for Solar Sphere, boss rushers, or staying to defend our base. Isle is just a team fight for Hanger, followed by either a quick win if you won or a series of long drawn out road fights (Glaives are made of glass and rarely will Horde defend them, but can be very good at times of just annihilating them, depends on if Allie take siege to them or not). Alterac is Alterac, while not the BG of yore it can still often turn into a slog for a variety of reasons. I would just avoid it all together if you want fast honor.
If you go down this route I would advice downloading a Battleground Enemies addon. Even if you don’t ever PvP again after this it is still worth the install for the purpose of not wasting your time on premades, outright loses, and to be on an even playing field with the PvP players you will be joining. This is not to say that I endorse quitting before trying your hardest out the gate to win. I have had games were we outright destroyed with less but more competent healers. I have also qued into a 0 v 10 healer situation leaving after handing out cookies to everyone, wishing them the best, and with the hope that my spot would go to a healer. I have also joined a bg against a pre-made I knew from earlier wouldn’t ever end and were just there to farm HKs. I couldn’t go back to going into pvp so blind while others had the ability to see across the map knowing everyone’s position at a mouse click.
I would just wait the 5 days and try and get as many games of Comp Stomp as you can in before calculating how much you still need to finish your mogs.
Epic battlegrounds are long and usually a lose for ally, so you wasting time there… i would just do random regular ones
