What's the best way to disable ALL chat functions in-game?

How can I disable my ability to see chat or type in chat in-game outside of RealID? I Simply do not want it anymore. Getting hit with a 9 day suspension over some swear words because some snowflake got offended by some pretty PG13 language has done it for me. “Why can’t alliance ever do ****ing objectives” was in the reported chat. I do not want to interact with anyone or have the ability to type in chat, I’m over the risk of this happening again because someone wants to abuse the report system just because.

You just have to leave the chats you dont want to see.

/leave trade
/leave battleground
/leave services

Find the channel name, and leave it. You can also go into your chat settings, find the chat channel tab and manually delete the channels you dont want to see from appearing in your chat box.

So basically have a chat window with nothing selected other than whispers is the only way? THANK YOU for answering.

The command is /leave < channel >

You’ll not see it again or be able to type in it. You cannot leave instance, guild, say etc… You’ll have to exercise will power over those.

Well, your main chat window yes. It should still show guild chat, party chat, raid chat, say/yell/whisper and the NPC chats. I dont know if there’s a way to block all that unless you create a new chat window and ONLY list whispers, then delete/hide all other windows.

My druid is translucent orange in the Armory too, if I have Astral Form active when I log out.
