A Draenei shaman was my first ever max level character, so I have a soft spot for their zone.
I have a huge soft spot for Darnassus.
I don’t.
That freaking furbolg cave?
I got lost. For like an hour.
I have always been a fan on the human starting area. It has a good quest to size ratio so you get through it really quick.
I think the new SL starting area is pretty great though.
Goblin, hands down.
Made an alt just to see it. It was actually pretty fun, including the minidungeon at the end.
Dun Morogh
Personally, I love the Goblin starting zone the best, but the Draenei is my second favorite. I imagine I would have liked the Worgen starting zone more if it wasn’t so buggy and laggy for me. Thank goodness for the new Exiles Reach starter zone for new Worgen characters.
The old school human one, eversong woods and I know this one is unpopular but the atmosphere and music in Azuremyst Isle always takes me back to good times.
LOL I did too but at least all of us in that cave got lost together. A bonding experience.
Eversong is still my favorite, with Dun Morogh a very close second.
Tirisfal Glades & I’ll even include Silverpine in this as well. If I’m making a new horde toon, that’s usually where I’ll end up.
Yea I like the first half of Teldressil but when you get to the furblog cave and have to get the artifacts I just go to Elwynn Forest
To be honest, I think all of the alliance starting zones are incredible, but maybe that’s also because I don’t play alliance as often as I used to so I’m not burnt out on them in the way I am with Horde zones, although I do love Mulgore.
Death Knight
Okay not a race but is a starting zone. (Bonus points for allied race, just a “U R DK! Right, off you go!”)
Love the Death Knight starting zone, but I wish we had the option of choosing either it or the ones for Allied Races on base races.
I feel Draenei give you some of the coolest rewards with Tabard of the Hand and tbe potential blood elf mask.
I remember waaaaaay back in early lich king when I started thinking I was so cool sporting that tabard. I still use it for nostalgia on some characters. I think my warrior has it on now.
Blood Elf. you get to collect so many heads
Yup I was right. Sporting tbe tabard of the hand.
Gilneas is so sick. I just love the vintage, Victorian theme. The quests give you the thrill of living… or escaping… on the edge.
