thinkin about rolling an alt to level-up via bgs, and bgs only. what class would you all recommend for this? …i should also mention i’m not very good at pvp, i tend to panic and mash-buttons like crazy…

Get a Druid or a Rogue. You can hide when it gets too real.

was thinkin rogue would be a good option… like, even if i was undergeared, i could still pester the enemy with saps ‘n’ stuns and stuff… y’know, be an annoyance, even if i can’t kill’em.
was’nt sure about it though, since… well, there’s an obvious difference between a good rogue and… er… me. 
to be honest you should play what sounds cool to you. if you’re gonna be leveling in bgs you’ll spend a long time in there. so you’ll get used to your character pretty quick and what to press in what situations.

hmm… that’s true i suppose. but i’m always hearing about certain classes constantly getting nerfed, and it’s made me a little wary about playing some of them cough warrior cough.
That’s exactly what I did with my Rogue and Druids when outgeared in BGs. In Alterac Valley I would run around a circuit of three graveyards sapping people. It was easy to tie up half a dozen opposing players looking for you.
A Druid can be pretty squishy in a BG, but with patience you can be stealthed near the battle, out of AoE range, then at a crucial time pop out and do a bug AoE heal that stacks everything back in your team’s favour.
not too proud of this but when BoA’s were first announced Ibought a full set for a rogue and spawn camped one poor fellow the whole bg while the rest of the people tried to find me. funny stuff

Rogues are supposed to be jerks. You were just RP’ing properly.

Rouge is good for arenas in my opinion but if your going epic battle grounds go mage I say this because they have a ton of AOE damage that means more honorable kills just by throwing a swarm of fire or something into a blob of enemy players that also means more honor points but that’s just the route I would go
Go to PTR with a friend and test a bunch of stuff out. Go vs them 1v1 and see your strengths and weaknesses. Always a good way to do it. That way you can test out one of each. Cant get the answer from another player. The thing they are best at may be the thing you are worst at. So need to try for your self.
Only with the proper foundation. Without that it wears off quickly.

hmm… so… options/suggestions so far are rogue ‘n’ druid for stealth/hijinx, and mage for aoe (though would’nt warlock do the same thing?).
interesting options you’ve all given me here… given me a lot to think about…
Hunter and nothing else comes close

If you’re wanting to level purely through BGS, Hunter is easily the best. Any of it’s specs can carry early level BGs without even trying. Warlocks and Fury Warriors can also be really strong in the early brackets!
That being said! I wouldn’t really recommend doing BGs to level. The XP gain is dismal and if you’re wanting any Honor gain or gear, wins are required.

I am a warlock a affliction warlock I have like 2 AOE spells the rest are more direct target damage over time Mages still have more AOE damage but arguably Warlocks do more damage in general

the answer is always hunter.
Nothing comes close to hunter in BG’s. You attack from super far away, you have stuns, slows, traps, disengage, turtle, feign death, interrupts, lust, mortal strike debuff on certain pets. If you go BM spec you can do everything WHILE moving, no hard casts at all. Its such a complete set for bg’s is not even funny.
When you’re leveling you’ll see the top 5 characters in every bg is hunters mostly, and its no coincidence.
