1 - i can’t party up with my friend, using free acc, can’t enter in a group, i can’t get invited for something…
2 - the best thing that everyone tells me about this game is the story, and i tried and hated it
3 - i hated the anime style, the movements, ambiance and environment
4 - hated the hitbox and the skills
5 - I hated the animation, the character slips when i use some skill. The animation gets stuck, if i walk to the side it doesn’t cancel the animation or it doesn’t have fluidity, i literally walk with the animation happening, without moving my legs (the character legs, ofc).
item 1 and 5 killed the game for me. Item 2 is really important too.
Blizzard: Were forcing players to go to literal hell, over and over.
FF: Were letting players go to the moon and adding 2 new classes because they asked for it.
That’s still WoW, lmao. You are coming from a completely different game and you can’t even post your facepalm-worthy spam in the right subforum. Look, I know the spammers probably feel like all grown up and cool kids doing this, but they aren’t. They come across as immature at best, rabid at worst. And when y’all have to keep “exaggerating” to sell the game (“It’s a perfect game!!!11 …after the first 140 hours, minimum.”), you’re only pointing out its weaknesses.
Let it sell itself on its own merits. You’re doing it no favors.
All the cutscenes. If I wanted to watch an anime I’d go pop one in the drive. Hi there please set aside 40min to watch this before you can continue your quest line that’s required to unlock the ability to do this raid/dungeon/progress your character!
Yes! Go play FFXIV the only mmo on rails, insanely small zones, TONS of loading screens ruining immersion from an mmo, TONS of invisible walls preventing you from exploring or jumping off small cliffs etc, LOOOOOONG Cut Scenes, Looooooooong CDs. FFXIV is 4th best to WoW with ESO and SWtOR ahead of FFXIV.
I’ve tried playing the game about three times already. Back before ARR, some time in like 2015 or 2016, and 2019. Tried in earnest, got invited into a FC by a friend, tried a few jobs. Putting my gripes against that game’s client (FF14’s client is hot garbage and the account management site is archaic crap, it makes Origin look good) , actually playing the game felt sterile and the world itself was a barrier of entry for me. Not the slower gameplay (LOTRO is pretty slow, way more fun than FF14 imo), not the ‘weeb’ stuff (though it’s entirely too cute for me, but whatever) , just the world and pacing at which you experience the world, I just couldn’t really get into it. I was aware that I was playing a game every step of the way.
