Im torn between aff or destro warlock, frost mage, fury warrior, and ret paladin
Honestly they all play well and i know frost is amazing but i feel its pretty squishy to make a difference. Like it would be better suited in solo shuffle but if ur getting wrecked mage is just instant deaths.
Paladins always been my go to if i wanna make a difference and easily win one v ones but im seeing some not so kind tuning in its part.
Warrior and warlock just seem more tanky to me.
Probably a good idea to level something that is currently strong in L80 TWW and something that you just enjoy playing. There is no telling which specs might get nerfs and which might get buffs early season for pvp.
Currently frost mage is considered very strong in TWW, so that might be a good choice and it sounds like you like paladin so that would be a good second choice.
There should be time for most people to level two characters to max before the season starts.
Frost mage seems very likely to get the nerf bat right away, I hear it’s a bit too strong

It is very likely to get it’s damage nerfed, but the good thing about frost mage is the utility it brings likely won’t get nerfed and it’s good for soloq just for it’s utility alone.
Of course, it is always nice to have big damage as well. 
Do you use defensives? Alter time, displacement, mirror image (20% dmg reduction), invis (60% dmg reduction), slows, blocks, roots?
Frost mage has crazy survivability. Alter time played right is basically a lay-on-hands. Double block. Ice barrier. Blast wave knock back. Invis. Mass invis. Ring of frost. DB. Blink out of stuns. It’s an absolute juggernaut.
That being said, ret paladin is also very good in BG’s for surviving and staying in a fight at the same time. Of everything you mentioned, Warrior seems to be the worst class if playing without a healer by your side. Ret and mage can fair way better if playing solo IMO.
Mage has 3 specs and at least one is always viable. Rey is almost always at least good in bgs. Play what you want and you’ll probably do better on that too . Good luck!!!
Of course im not the best mage but i do alright got everything keybinded for defensives.
I just kinda like the feeling of being able to take a hit. I warlocks take a while to take down while mage is more of a slippery ecape artist. I m def going to play my next tho i just dont know what to main
A mage is supposed to kite and blink away. Not supposed to be a tank.
The best thing about Blitz is you can play what you want… and have the most fun with.
Out of those choices - I’d go Frost Mage (just avoid Hunters.)
Druids/Rogues will be game changers, though.
Fury is looking tremendous Vs most specs but Frost mage might be a problem for it.
Frost mage looks great but MMs might be a problem for it.
I dont have the time right now to list every design flaw plaguing Retribution right now, this is one of the most likely to stuggle specs.
