Whats so bad about mechagnomes?

Racials are crazy good whatever class you play with them and also very convenient. Only thing I can see why a lot of people wouldn’t play them is because they cant transmog half of their body???

Mechagnomes never stood a chance when the furries were introduced. That’s really the problem.

It’s not about what the mechagnomes are lacking - it’s about what the horde got.

There’s nothing wrong with them. They should have way more customization’s than they currently do, but they went up against a cutesy race. They stood no chance.

If they were cyborg humans or elves or even dwarves everyone would have jumped them. It’s the fact that they’re gnomes.

I prefer the Vulpera to the Mechagnomes…but I plan on eventually playing both. It’s weird to me that people act like it has to be one or the other.

i feel like only egirls are hyped about Vulpera. And Egirls are a minority.
otherwise theyre just as ugly as every other race, lol.

not sure but since I switched servers for SL I will roll one as mage for SL at the same time I will get the heritage armor as well.

mechagnomes here I go … :gear:

There are a number of issues.

First is they are Gnomes, the least fav Alliance race.

Secondly, they look weird with the way the legs are, like they’re wearing a diaper. The legs especially aren’t bulky enough, they’re spindly and out of proportion to the thick body.

Third, and most important, they are not Mechagnomes. I honestly feel players would have been excited for real Mechagnomes, fully robotic with the cool customizations the NPC Mechagnomes have. But what we got are regular Gnomes with erector set arms and legs.

I’m a guy and I’ve been hyped about them since i first saw them on datamining and alpha footage.

Should have more limb options since tmogs don’t work.

It’s a start, hopefully they get more eventually.

Oh, and hair options. They like modifying themselves but never learned of hair dye.

You can’t punt them as well with all this mechanic stuff around.

I should name mine “Toebreaker”.

To be honest the limited transmog has become a hidden blessing. There are a lot of un-completed sets out there missing gloves and boots that I now can pull off with ease. Even stuff with only chest’s are now useable thanks to the severe limitation on how much my pants show.
The only thing I need now is a better variety of metal tones for my parts.

I have a 120 mechagnome and I really enjoy playing her. Sure, a lot of the current transmogs don’t really work that well, but that wasn’t the point. I loved the mechanical arms and legs and am fine with them being on full display. I had the hardest time picking the hairstyle because they were all SO GOOD. I mean, a cog as a headband? The wonderfully retro hairstyles?

When she runs, she gets a determined expression on her face. There is so much charm and personality that went into this race and while they are not starting out with much in terms of customization, I can only hope they keep adding more down the line. We are evolving from clown cloaks to actual wings, crypts, and backpacks. When the engineering profession gets to make better visuals than goggles, this is really going to make the mechagnomes shine.

Come for the personality, stay for the firepower.

Mechagnomes, you welcome in Ironforge, too. We’ll blast a few walls and make room, np.

Mechagnomes are the expert mode of the customisation challenge!

Cloth is easiest with robes, but try making a good leather or mail set is daunting!

I find plate easy enough, plenty of options for each body shade.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with mechagnomes.

Plate’s easy because it’s matching metal with metal. At this point, it’s like selecting a body/head mod.

The rest would have probably been easier if there were at least visible forearms and shins for gloves/bracers and boots, respectively. Just something in the orbits that could be matched to the main body. At least when equipping an an item with a model that isn’t skin tight. Damn shame mechagnome warriors can’t make use of the T3 Arathi warfront plate models for hands, feet and legs. They’d look like killing machines then.

Diapers.

The stigma of gnomes still carries with them even though they’re half mechanical.

Also that can be avoided if your a caster because robes still work the same. Just saying… :man_shrugging:

First of all they’re gnomes and it’s already more than enough

then also tmog thing
